Abuk is a nice complimentary player for Hardwood Evolution. With Evolution having two other main players he often gets forgotten about by the defense and can have his way. During the game verse Prolific prep, he was able to take advantage of the lack of size they had and get to the whole by powering his way there.
Isaiah Clark
Isaiah Clark
Clark is a guy that is small in stature but makes big shots. With the current team, he plays on he is a great guy that can help stretch the floor. He has a point guard on his team that consistently got in the lane and allowed him to get open shots because of it. What I like about Clark is, although he is short in stature he has long arms, and bigger hands which could indicate a growth spurt is coming soon.
Gavin DeVoe
Gavin DeVoe
Devoe is a very raw athlete that hasn’t all the way matured into his body now. Throughout the weekend he showed flashes of what he could become in the future. While observing him he was able to knock down the three ball and also rebound the ball at a very high clip. For PGU Hoops he played mostly down low but I think as he grows and matures he can become a pretty good basketball player on the perimeter.
Charles Robert Hale Jr.
Charles Robert Hale Jr.
Hale Jr. is a play with great energy and he doesn’t hesitate to be aggressive both on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. With his team, he is in a unique situation because he plays with multiple ball handlers which creates a situation for him to have to play more of the basketball and be a slasher. This allows him to show his ability to create for himself off the catch and shot. As his ability to show that he can handle the basketball increases I think people will have the opportunity to see how well-rounded of a basketball player he is.
Gunner Starnes
Gunner Starnes
Starnes is long and knows how to use his length to get where he needs to be on the court. As I was watching him although he is bigger than most of his defenders, he is comfortable on the perimeter being able to create space and get to his spot in the mid-range. Team F.A.E has a rotation of 5 in and 5 out every 5 minutes but he did a great job in showing what he can do in the limited time of play. I would love to see what he can do in a setting where he is more of the featured player and gets more possessions with the basketball in his hand.
Donta Graham
Donta Graham
Graham is a big guard that is still trying to figure a few things out. He can play on the perimeter but can operate down low as well. When he goes to the whole at times, he can easily get knocked off of his path but I think as he learns how to use his body more to his advantage he easily has the potential to fix that. Over the next few years, I can see Graham coming out of Colorado as a top-wing prospect once it all comes together for him.
