Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5’10” | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC didn’t get off to a fast start, but his ability to defend and push the pace certainly played a role in their opening victory against Howard Pulley/Team Tyus. He does a tremendous job of pushing the pace when the ball is in his hands and constantly showed off his instincts as an attacker and playmaker when it was all said and done. He’s an impressive ballhandler that doesn’t get sped up by opponents and did well to showcase his talents as a passer, scorer and shooter on the EYBL stage. He finished with 10 points, five assists and three steals to kick the EYBL season off.
Highlights
Ashton Pierce Ashton Pierce 6’3″ | SG North Mecklenburg | 2026 State NC kicked things off with quite the start in Game 1 for Team CP3 in Session I of the EYBL circuit, knocking down six of 11 3-pointers en route to a 24-point finish against Howard Pulley/Team Tyus in their opening game on Friday night. He’s a confident guard prospect that can operate with and without the ball in his hands on the perimeter. He’s also quite the defender as well. He snagged four steals as well in a 63-41 victory in their first game. He did well to move through their sets and get open for shots on the perimeter and in the end, his squad ran away with things in Game 1.
Jaire Richburg Jaire Richburg 6’4″ | SF East Forsyth | 2026 State NC was an active presence on both ends that showed off his skills in Game 1. He filled up the stat sheet with seven points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists while shooting just 2-of-7 from the field. It was one of a few rough shooting outings he had, but most of his misses came on putbacks on rebounds. While they were tough misses, it certainly showed his willingness to crash the glass on both ends of the floor. He’s an aggressive presence on the wing for Team CP3 that showed he could get to the free-throw line by attacking the basket when given opportunities.
Rivers Knight Rivers Knight 6’9″ | PF Charles E Jordan | 2026 State NC is quite the stretch-forward prospect to keep an eye on with Team United. He showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter and in the mid-range and had a few opportunities at the rim that sent him to the free throw line. As he improves on his confidence around the rim, look for colleges to start pulling the trigger on him. He’s due for a breakout spring/summer and finished with 16 points on 4/7 FG, 2/4 3-PT and 6/6 FT while snagging seven rebounds and two blocks as well.
Highlights
Markus Kerr Markus Kerr 6’5″ | SF JL Chambers | 2026 State NC is an impressive wing prospect with Team United with good instincts as a defender and finisher at the rim as evidenced in his 10-point, two-steal outing in the opening game. He showed he could be an active defender on the perimeter and as a full-court presence while showing off his athleticism as well. He was aggressive when given opportunities to make plays with the ball in his hands. He’s a name of out West Charlotte High to keep an eye on with this squad given his size and skill set.
Highlights
Cole Cloer Cole Cloer 6’6″ | SF Orange | 2026 State NC was all over the glass and interior in the opener for Team CP3. He used his length and ability as a ball handler to make things happen around the rim and finished with six points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block. He’s a versatile presence in this rotation with a ton of room to grow given the playmaking ability of Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5’10” | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC . He’ll be a name to get to know before it’s all said and done this spring/summer out of Orange High in Hillsborough.
