The nation’s top ranked sophomore did not disappoint in the semifinals or championship games leading his team, averaging 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game leading the Explorers to their second consecutive state title. He is expected to be a heavy favorite for the Prep Hoops Florida Player of the Year award.
The 6-5 junior forward brought in his multi-talented skills to the floor, with his scoring and rebounding in both the semifinal and championship games. He averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game to help lead his school to their first state championship in school history. He used his body and frame on multiple defenders throughout the game. He was also out-muscling kids bigger than him.
The 6-5 sophomore small forward brings an athletic frame and can play either guard positions as well. He is also an underrated defender holding Alex Lloyd to just 8 points in the regional final back on February 24. He has also expanded his range this season and looks to become more of a perimeter threat as he goes into his next two seasons. Look for his recruitment to heat up as Allen has already received offers from Michigan and Villanova respectfully.
The 6-4 junior forward was a huge focal point bringing his team within striking distance in the 2A Championship game against Sagemont. Brown exploded for a game-high 28 points, including 16 of them in the second half which he helped erase an 18 point deficit. Brown has also already received offers from Buffalo, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, Hofstra, Kennesaw State and several others.
Highlights
The 6-3 senior guard and Furman University commit finished with a double-double (17 points and 11 rebounds) in their semifinal game against Riviera Prep. He made a huge 3-pointer to give his team the lead with 21 seconds left in regulation. During the regular season, Bronson averaged 17.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for Tampa Catholic.
The 7-0 sophomore was a lockdown defender in the paint blocking shots, rebounding and not allowing second chance opportunities. Finishing with a near double-double at 20 points and 8 rebounds to help lead his team to their first state title in school history. On the offensive end, he was doing most of his work inside on post-ups, as well as using his size and length to his advantage.
The 5-11 senior guard made big plays when it mattered most, including the game-winning shot to send his team to the state championship game. He followed that up with 22 points, on 3 made 3-pointers to lead his team to their first state title in school history.
The University of Georgia signee finished with a near double-double (12 points and 9 rebounds) in their semifinal win over Oak Ridge. He followed that up with 13 points and 6 rebounds in the championship game, guarding Malik Abdullahi for most of the game.
The 6-5 sophomore guard controlled the offense and pace of the game, whether it was his scoring or getting his other teammates involved. Finishing with a game-high 21 points and 3 rebounds to help lead his team to their second consecutive state title.
The 6-3 senior guard came up huge when it mattered most leading all scorers with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 steals in the championship game, leading his team to their first state championship in school history.
