Continue ReadingHe takes home the County Player Of The Year Award after transferring into the program in late November/ early December. Throughout the year he showed his ability to play just about every position on the court and established himself as the top player in the county during December and January when NLCA was able to dominate matchups against two of the top public-school programs in the city. He’s a D1 talent that will be taking the JUCO route next season for at least one season.
Highlights
The Cumberland County Rookie of the Year hit the ground running this season for the Eagles and never looked back! He consistently provided scoring and rebounding for his squad and plays the game with an energy and confidence that is beyond his years. A player that we are very excited about to see what he can potentially develop into over the next few years.
Put together an outstanding season from start to finish and would lead EE Smith to a regional championship game appearance for the first time in over two years. He dominated inside the paint on both ends of the floor and showcased why so many D1 programs were interested in him.
With the departure of numerous players from last year’s state championship run, he was called on to take a larger role this year and embraced that role to the fullest. He scored the ball inside the paint at a high level and would lead his team to a conference championship as well as a deep run in the state tournament.
Due to the fact that his team struggled during the season, he was overlooked but his talent and productivity on the year is clear. He can score the ball from multiple levels with ease, has good passing ability and understands how to get his offense without playing much isolation ball.rn
A player that continues to build his stock, he stepped in and made a nice impact for NWT. His perimeter shooting ability and athleticism are two attributes that catch your attention early and often and are part of the reason why college coaches are interested.
Another player that transferred into a new program and made a huge impact, he put up some big-time numbers in several games this season which eventually would lead to his first D1 offer. He understands how to use his athletic ability to make a high number of plays on both ends of the floor and continues to add to his perimeter game which will only help to boost his recruitment.
