Scott recently committed to Calvin College, and let me tell you, they got a good one. He looked like he added muscle from the last time I saw him up close. He’s really strong with the ball and can effectively advance it very quickly with both the dribble and the pass. Scott can break down defenders off the bounce and create scoring opportunities. He has a nasty spin move that will have you feeling dizzy when he puts opponents through the spin cycle. Scott has that takeover mode that makes you never really feel like his team is out of a game.
Lincoln started this game slow, but he really got more comfortable as the game went on. The athleticism was easy to see and he did show that he can create looks at the rim. Lincoln is a patient player that didn’t force the issue. He plays very effectively off the ball as a scorer, but can also be relied upon to handle and set the offense. Lincoln seems very comfortable working from the perimeter and from mid range.
It’s easy to see why Olivet is excited to see Wine coming next season. He has college ready strength, and mark my words, he will get stronger. Wine is tough and physical and thrives with contact. He’s a versatile offensive player that can battle for looks from under the rim, but can also step out from behind the arc and be a threat with his jump shot. Wine can defend on the perimeter as well as in the paint.
Highlights
Wynter Burnett
Wynter Burnett
I’ve seen Saline play a good amount this year and even though it’s late in the season, a Hornet player is quickly emerging late in the season. Burnett is on a bit of a tear. He’s been active on the glass and reads the ball well off the rim. Burnett knows his role and he fills it well. He showed the ability to block shots and protect the rim. Diedrick has a knack for picking up easy buckets.
