Claytor has earned a top 5 ranking and is the #1 point guard in NorCal. The 6’3 guard from Salesian Prep has all the necessary tools to run the point guard position at the next level. He has the ability to control the pace of the game. His vision, passing and decision making sets apart from others. He’s a reliable shot maker who can get his own shot when the time is right, or when the game is on the line. He regularly flirts with a double, double in points and assists. He has the length and foot work to defend.
Highlights
He just keeps adding pieces to his game. He’s one of NorCal’s best defenders with his effort and tenacity. He’s expanded his game as a shooting guard who has to be accounted for when he’s spotting up in the corners and on along the perimeter. He’s knocking 3’s at a good percentage. He has the handles, and the body to take on defenders in the paint.
Highlights
We’re not sure yet which guard spot he works best from. What we do know is he’s productive at both. He’s a guard with quality handles, excellent passing and vision. He has the ability to change paces on you, he’ll use a burst of speed to get to his spots, he can knock down 3’s. He’s underrated as a defender, he’s best when he’s locked in.
He has his ups and downs, but when he has things going he can be one of the most productive players on the court. He’s a good shooter from behind the arc, coming down in transition, or spotting up along the perimeter on the catch and shoot. He can use his dribble to attack the basket from the baseline and other areas on the court. Consistency is key
He’s a productive forward who has the ability to play inside and out. He uses his body, along with balance and foot work to get points in the mid-post, and paint. He’s improved his perimeter game to a point where he’s capable of knocking down 3 pointers, attacking off the dribble, and scoring in transition. He’ll get rebounds.
He’s fresh off a State Championship appearance. He’s one of NorCal’s rising forwards. He’s developed into a multi threat prospect who uses his size and finesse to get points and rebounds around the basket, while expanding his range to where he’s comfortably knocking down 3ptrs on the perimeter and in the corners.
Standing 6’10 he’s a legitimate post prospect. He has made good improvement this season, he has work to do. At times he can score in the paint, with a jumper, turn around jumper, or drop step, he’ll get put backs. He has a tendency to bring the ball down. He’s an excellent passer from the post. He has the vision to spot shooters along the perimeter and cutters going to the basket. He has the reach to change shots around the rim.
