He’s the top unsigned Senior in NorCal as of now. He’s boosted his game as a perimeter type player. He’s 6’8 and can knock down the 3pt shot along the perimeter with consistency. He has improved ball handling, and plays with balance able create his shot opportunities. He has a short jumper along with good drives into the paint. He has the size and strength to get a bucket, and rebound inside.

An individual that is ready to have a major senior season is 6’7, Cole Epperson of Jesuit High School. Epperson is a combo guard/small forward, that has size and skill when the ball is passed his way. In all of the major contests that Epperson competes in, he is always using his length over smaller defenders and knocking down shots from deep at a high rate. When he has space, his shot form is always identical to the last, giving it a good chance of going in. It’s one of those shot forms that as soon as you see it, it makes you say, “Yup, he can shoot.” Epperson will play off of this elite ability this winter and leave it all on the court. There is no doubt about that.

He’s a productive forward who has the ability to play inside and out. He uses his body, along with balance and foot work to get points in the mid-post, and paint. He’s improved his perimeter game to a point where he’s capable of knocking down 3 pointers, attacking off the dribble, and scoring in transition. He’ll get rebounds.

He had a good bounce back game. He came out determined to carry the load on this day. He didn’t disappoint. He went for 33pts, collected 6 rebounds, 2asts, 2blks, and 2 stls to lead Jesuit to an impressive win over Riordan. He used his body forcefully in the paint, he went straight to the basket with his dribble, he hit long 3’s. He had a couple of dunks.

Epperson was one of the top sleepers at the event. He’s athletic and has a solid skill level. He averaged less than 5 points per game as a sophmore, but has remarkably improved from last season. I liked how he ran the floor and his ability to face up and score. The 6’7 four man hit a three and scored on some downhill drives, contributing in both of Marauders wins this weekend.
