Doyle won MVP of the tournament averaging just under 16 PPG and leading the way for Lexington Catholic. He is a versatile guard that showed he can play any of the guard positions. Does a really good job playing off of his teammates and getting easy baskets. Showed his deep 3pt range, but at his best driving the ball and finishing at the rim. Had himself a really good tournament.
Lyon County was the hottest ticket of the tournament, largely because people wanted to watch scoring phenom Travis Perry Travis Perry 6’2″ | PG Lyon County | 2024 State #115 Nation KY . He certainly didn’t disappoint. It seemed like he made difficult shot after difficult shot and went on scoring runs by himself of 8-12 points a couple times a game. If he was left open, he was making the shot. Has deep 3pt range and has to be guarded when he steps over half court. He sprints the floor in transition hunting shots. Has good mid-range game getting his body squared when off balance. Best part of his game is how he can create separation to get his shots off as he isn’t overly tall. Struggled at times finishing over length at the basket but made up for it with his consistency shooting on the perimeter.
Highlights
Reddick was my favorite player to watch in the tournament. He takes a heavy load off of Perry’s shoulders handling the ball and getting Lyon County into offense. Plays with extreme confidence and can score at all three levels. Has deep 3pt range both off the dribble and catch. Very shifty and creative around the rim to avoid defenders and score. Has great feel in pick and rolls. Made a ton of difficult shots look easy. Reddick is heavily underrated and will undoubtedly garner more national attention heading into his final summer of AAU. Big time prospect.

Shoulders is a versatile forward that can score both from 3pt and around the basket. Decisive scorer as he isn’t overly athletic but seemed to consistently get by defenders and score at the rim. Played a ton of minutes for them and handled most of the efforts scoring and defending down low. Proved to be a good shooter from 3pt off the catch. A really good stretch 4 prospect for the next level.
Reed was very impressive. Tough, hard nosed guard that can score all over the court. Tough shot taker and maker. Did a great job getting to the rim and using his body to score tough baskets thru contact. Lacks size, but didn’t let it affect him as he did a good job creating space to get his shots off. Rhythm scorer as he can scored in bunches. Proved to not only be one of the best scorers in the event, but in the state. Big time competitor.

Unseld is a high level wing scorer with deep 3pt range and lived up to that in this event. Consistently scored all week and made a ton of shots from deep. Has a simple shot that looks effortless. Never got sped up and played at his own pace. A player that just has a knack to score the basketball at a high level. Good prospect that am excited to follow the rest of his high school career.
Ritter was one of the best big men in the tournament as he dominated the boards and did a good job finishing around the rim. Played with great poise around the basket and never got sped up. Loved how patient he was to either make a move or pass to spot up shooters. Primarily a right hand finisher around the rim as I look for him to develop his left hand the more he plays. Good prospect that more college coaches should get in on.
