Cordonnier is a big reason why Russia was undefeated entering their matchup with Fort Loramie. The 6’3 sophomore reminds me a lot of former Jackson Center standout Aiden Reichert. Put together offensively and very skilled. Defensively can guard multiple positions and impressed me with his hedges and reads defensively on ball screens. Solid footwork on the block and firm play around the rim. Cordonnier could be a target for D3 programs as he continues to grow and mature his game.
Greenburg was impressive in the JV game for Centerville against Wayne. He brings a physical frame and has a true understanding of how to use his body through contact and on the offensive end. Literally powered through defenders on drives and had a put together defensive arsenal. Greenburg is part of a loaded Centerville team and could arguably start at any other school in the area. His role should continue to rise over the next few years.
It would be easy to pick Gabe Cupps or Jonathan Powell as the top performer for the Elks, but I felt Njie had more of an impact beyond just scoring. The youngest sibling of 2 current Division I prospects, Njie was automatic on the glass, utilizing his springiness and length to control boards. Very athletic and solid around the rim. If he can add some more comfortability outside the paint and more consistent shooting, he could be a true scholarship target.
Havens looks like a typical GCL guard. Fundamentally focused and has the basketball IQ to make plays without the basketball. Havens got looks at the rim just off of backdoor cuts and hard cuts across the paint off the ball. Confident ball handler and can orchestrate the halfcourt offense.
