Continue ReadingJack Voth Jack Voth 6’6″ | PF J.T. Hoggard | 2023 State NC is a strong bodied forward who projects as a great athlete and player at the Division 2/3 level. Averaging 22.7 PPG and 7.1 RPG, he’s an undersized forward who scores very well in the interior and off of drives as well. He has also showed steps in developing his jumper, hitting catch and shoot 3’s at an improved rate with a better looking jumper. His rebounding as also improved as well, showing more prowess on the defensive end by finishing possessions and starting offensive ones by outletting the ball and running the floor with a high motor. Voth is growing, season by season and game by game, and a college coach that brings him onto their roster will get someone who continues to improve at a rapid rate over the next four years.

Ronald Bridges
Ronald Bridges
Bridges has been a late bloomer in the Hoop State this year, putting on some big time performances and showcasing his talent as a scorer and defender. He’s extremely athletic, which makes him a very good finisher around the rim. He takes guys off the dribble and has the power to finish above the rim, causing nightmares for opposing defenders. He also shows ability to step out and hit the three ball when needed. Its not a priority, but opponents have to respect him. He’s led his team in points and steals per game, and they’ve gotten off to a 4-0 start in conference play. As small colleges look for unsigned seniors, he’s a one to watch for his scoring prowess and hard-nosed competitiveness.
Mcneil is so dynamic as a scorer, and it’s great that he decided to come back and ply his talents at home in North Carolina. He’s got to sit certain games because of the transfer back, and it shows when he’s not on the floor. He gets to his spots whenever he wants, and hits difficult shots from them. He’s still improving as a shooter but for how many attempts he takes, he’s an above average one. He’s a big time finisher at the rim and inside the arc, and opponents cannot stop him when he gets going downhill with his speed, length, and jumping ability. He shows prowess as a rebounder too, especially when his teammates miss shots. He comes flying in with strength to either putback misses or give his team a second possession. He’s a definite high major player and it will be exciting to see where he ends up.

Quay Watson Quay Watson 6’0″ | CG Hopewell | 2024 State NC is one of the most electrifying scorers in the state, as evidenced by him crossing the 1,000 point mark recently. He’s averaging over 24 points per game so far this year, and gets them in a variety of ways. He’s shifty in open space and creates his own shot really well, even from behind the arc. He’s shooting over 40% from deep on the year, knocking down shots consistently. He’s even a good shooter at the charity stripe, shooting over 80% on the season. He also can play as a true point guard and create for his teammates, with good vision and feel for when to make the right pass. He is multifaceted as a player, and profiles as both a scorer and a playmaker at the next level. His size may not be the prototypical big point guard that schools like now, but he is small and mighty. Keep an eye out for him to keep scoring the ball at a high rate.

Peter Moye Peter Moye 6’3″ | SG South Mecklenburg | 2024 State NC is the ultimate competitor, and a good basketball player as well. He’s got good scoring chops, playing as a combo guard for South Meck and filling the bucket up with consistency. He can knock down jumpers, but excels on the interior. He rebounds well for being a guard, even picking up offensive boards to extend possessions. However, what stands out is his grit, determination, and will to win. He’s the kind of guy you want on your team to make the right play and be incredibly solid. College coaches should be all over him to add another good piece to their backcourt, and a great young man to their locker room.
