<p><strong>Tue., 1/3…Archbishop Wood vs. Roman Catholic: </strong>A tremendous PCL match up opens the 2023 league schedule. Wood's perimetertalent includes [player_tooltip player_id='1189096' first='Jalil' last='Bethea'] (multiple DI offers), one of the most feared scoring threats in the region as well rising 2024 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1483181' first='Josh' last='Reed'] and sophomore stud Duece Maxey. On the interior, Wood forward [player_tooltip player_id='1013075' first='Carson' last='Howard'] (East Stroudsburg commit) is a double-double machine. For Roman, senior [player_tooltip player_id='991334' first='Xzayvier' last='Brown'] (St. Joe's commit) and the No. 1 rated sophomore in Pennsylvania, Shareff Jackson, are the primary options. Running with those two are [player_tooltip player_id='1116024' first='Anthony' last='Finkley'] (St. Joe's commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='1577636' first='Jermai' last='Stewart-Herring']. <p><strong>Tue., 1/3…Cheltenham at Plymouth Whitemarsh:</strong> Cheltenham is paced by the dynamic duo of point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1379428' first='Josiah' last='Hutson'] and shooting guard Kamani Healey. Both of those players can get buckets at all three levels. Additionally, there are two quality prospects on this roster who are flying under the radar – senior Yakeen Respes and junior Kevin Addison. At “P-Dub” scoring machine [player_tooltip player_id='1188211' first='Qudire' last='Bennett'] is off to a tremendous start this season. Combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1123895' first='Chase' last='Coleman'] has also been scoring the rock with ease. Depending on the situation, elite floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1116013' first='Jaden' last='Colzie'] puts up points or facilitates for others. <em>Tip-off is at 7:00PM.</em></p>

<p><strong>Fri., 1/6…Springside CHA at Penn Charter: </strong>This Inter-Ac contest features two squads that are off to hot starts in 2022-23. For SCHA (9-2), seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1188210' first='Alassane' last='Amadou'] (Marquette commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='1281996' first='Jaren' last='Morton'] headline a roster filled with college prospects. Included in that list is junior [player_tooltip player_id='1200762' first='Camden' last='Burns'] (1<sup>st</sup> Team All-Inter Ac in 2021-22), slasher [player_tooltip player_id='1123911' first='Ron' last='Brown III'], interior force [player_tooltip player_id='1281795' first='Caleb' last='Alston-Nelson'], point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1865285' first='Keni' last='Williams'] and freshman standout [player_tooltip player_id='1406790' first='Patrese' last='Feamster']. Penn Charter (13-1) will bring a host of college prospects to the court as well. Point guard Mark Buter (Lafayette commit) is one of the top floor generals in the area. Isaiah Grimes is an extremely underrated wing prospect. [player_tooltip player_id='1116056' first='Trey' last='Shinholster'] and his younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='1271429' first='Kai' last='Shinholster'] are two shooting guards who knock down threes at a high clip…<em>Tip-off is at 7:00PM.</em></p>

<p><strong>Fri., 1/6…Westtown School at George School: </strong>What more could hoops heads ask for in week one of FSL play? Basketball juggernaut Westtown boasts seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1200771' first='Matt' last='Mayock'] (American Univ. commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='1393685' first='Seyphon' last='Triplett'] (Stonehill commit). They are backed up by a slew of high-level prospects. Power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1173984' first='Matt' last='Gilhool'] (numerous DI offers) is one of the most versatile and highly rated 2024s in the state. Scoring wing [player_tooltip player_id='1383005' first='Cameron' last='Wallace'] is one of top 2025s in Pennsylvania. As a bonus, the Moose have two other extraordinarily talented underclassmen – [player_tooltip player_id='1369805' first='Jayden' last='Kelsey'] (2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='1608261' first='Jordan' last='Forsythe'] (2026). As we all know, the George School runs a “Twin Towers” lineup of [player_tooltip player_id='1119114' first='Onyekachi' last='Nzeh'] (Xavier commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='1153953' first='Luke' last='Bevilacqua'] (several DI offers). Their ability to work the high to low post game is unique. Both George School bigs can shoot threes too. Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1285466' first='Christian' last='Bliss'] (several DI offers) runs the show and scores from any spot on the floor. GS senior [player_tooltip player_id='901991' first='Dante' last='Weise'] is a playmaking guard who college coaches are sleeping on.<em> Tip-off is at 7:00PM.</em></p>

<p><strong>Sat., 1/7…Radnor at Garnet Valley:</strong> The Central League scheduling gods have given fans a treat in the first week of league play. Radnor has jumped out a 9-0 start. Meanwhile Garnet Valley stands at 8-2.So, this should be a fantastic game. Radnor shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1119137' first='Jackson' last='Hicke'] (Princeton commit) is averaging 18 ppg. Wing player [player_tooltip player_id='1212678' first='Charlie' last='Thornton'] was recently named MVP of Radnor's bracket at the KSA Holiday Tournament (FL). Rock steady point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1200819' first='Danny' last='Rosenblum'] (Rochester commit) has rediscovered his scoring touch this season. On the Garnet Valley side, [player_tooltip player_id='1460801' first='Jacob' last='Sniras'] (2025) has exploded onto the high school scene and is already a legit No. 1 option. That means senior [player_tooltip player_id='1185982' first='Max' last='Koehler'] (York College commit) is now a ridiculously lethal second option. Flanking those two is Logan McKee who is a serious threat from behind the arc and already has a 30-spot on his resume this season. <em>Tip-off is at 7:00PM.</em></p>
