9↑7 Abittan has proved to be a prolific shooter and scorer. The sharpshooter has already put up some monster games, and has risen in the rankings for his improved ability to create shots for himself. He is averaging over 19 per game this season.
Highlights
12↑10 Sheets is the type of player that needs to be seen in person to appreciate. He is highly skilled, showing the ability to get by defenders, and finish over outstretched defenders. He shoots it well, with good catch and shoot ability as well as the ability to hit pull up transition threes. He rises in the rankings thanks to his production to start the season.
15↑13 Butler has carried Shadow in the scoring department. He’s an dynamic 1 v 1 scorer with the ability to defeat the first and finish over the second defender. Good scorer that moved up a couple of spots based on his production and athletic ability.
Highlights
20↑15 The things Jackson can’t do on the court are limited. Big time on ball defender, who can shoot it, is quick as a hiccup and has the ability to create for others. In addition to his tangibles, he has the type of competitive mentality to carry him a long way. Jackson is a Dawg that competes with a chip on his shoulder. He rises in the rankings thanks to his skill set and ability to make clutch shots for his team.
33↑24 People might want to get used to seeing Ghallab go up. I saw him recently and he looks terrific, the big man is now simply a tall man, that has good hands, a nice low post IQ and extraordinary back to the basket skills.
Highlights
40↑30 Lide has earned his way up the rankings with strong play and good shooting. The sharpshooting PG is currently leading the Rams in scoring averaging nearly 20 per game.
37↑35 Lochridge gets minutes for the defending 4A champs. The lefty is a budding floor general who has the ability to protect the ball and orchestrate the offense.
53↑46 Simmons is a player that the Mojave faithful is high on. He has good size and moves well, allowing him to be a factor on both ends of the floor. Good finisher, who can defend multiple positions in the Rattlers full court pressure defense.
66↑48 Rowe put on a show when I was in Reno. The scoring guard showed the ability to shoot the ball, knocking down more than his share of threes. He’s more than a catch and shoot guy, as he displayed decent quickness and the ability to finish drives to the hoop.
67↑62 Mikias rises in the rankings in big part thanks to his IQ. He’s been thrust into a more prominent role for the Grizzlies, and has rewarded the team’s trust with some solid Floor General play.
69↑67 I was fortunate to see Lewis a couple of times since the last rankings, and im intrigued with several things. He has decent positional size, and has flashed some offensive skill, with his ability to shoot the ball and penetrate.
