They have added a lot to their squds in the early season but should definitely be guys to follow along with as the year progresses. Here’s a peak at some of the biggest stock-risers and new faces in the 2024 rankings.
Linhardt looks to have taken a big step forward in his development, adding some height and strength which he’s using to attack more off the dribble and draw fouls inside. He still possesses a good outside shot and is deadly from the corners, but he’s much more active with the ball in his hands attacking the basket, which has also led to a lot more playmaking from the big wing. He’s really solidified himself as the number two option for King’s and had a great showing at The Hardwood Invite last weekend.
Krohn is an all-around player that has a huge motor. He is in it on every possession, playing strong, fast, and hard-nosed ball. He brings intensity on defense, fights for every board like it’s his last, and communicates through the entirety of the game. But he’s not just effort, Krohn has a long frame and is a weapon offensively with a smooth jumper from mid-range and slick passing.
Brown is leading the Bears in scoring this season at nearly 16 points a game. He’s long and wiry, active on both ends, and makes quick decisions with the ball. A lot of his impact seems to come around the rim for now, but he could develop more slashing skills in the future. For now, he uses good court awareness to find soft spots in the defense and acts decisively when a chance arises.
Jackman-Thomas is a jack-of-all-trades. He’s a big body on the wings and can affect the game from all over the floor. He’s got a reliable trigger from three, can handle the rock and make good decisions with the ball, and has the strength and athleticism to be a big factor on the boards. There’s potential for him to go off on any night, just given his activity around the hoop, but he can fill into whatever role is needed and always comes with the energy.

Stephens is still just cracking the surface of his game, but early on in his first varsity season he has shown unique vision with the ball and an aggressive attacking mindset. There is a little bit of consistency missing right now but as he plays more that should get fixed. He’s got a good-looking jumper that is pretty reliable from mid-range, he’s strong at the hoop, and can fit passes into some tight windows. Given some time, Stephens could blossom into a solid all-around wing with plus playmaking potential.
Highlights
Meyers seems to have grown an inch or so but looks really stout and strong this season. He looks even quicker getting his shot off and is still the trusty downtown shooter from last year. One part of his game that seems to be under the radar is his passing. He really understands the importance of the set-up pass and shifting defenses to open up the looks the team wants. Also, as his body continues to mature, his rebounding becomes a growing asset to his game. He’s much more than a shooter and plays with a high understanding of the game.
