The final day of the Lakeridge Tournament provided some good action and also gave us a chance to see a few new guys that aren't currently ranked and should be added in the next iteration of rankings for each class. Here's a look a the top ones we saw (listed in order of class).

Cooper Beltz (2023 Clackamas)

Beltz was arguably the MVP for the Cavs in the Lakeridge Tournament title game. The 6-foot-3 swingman used his physical body to get to the basket and finish, but also showed off some of his soft lefty shooting stroke from the outside. He noted he's currently receiving interest for football but is open to possible basketball options this season.

Finbar O'Brien (2023 La Salle)

Look up the word all-around in the dictionary and you'll likely see a picture of O'Brien. The 6-foot-1 guard did a little bit of everything in La Salle's third place game win over Lakeridge, scoring the ball but also showing great passing skills, the ability to rebound bigger than his size, and play tough on defense. He's a jack of all trades type of player.

Owen Scott (2023 North Medford)

Scott has plenty of height at 6-foot-8 and has a strong, muscular frame. The senior is very raw offensively, but isn't afraid to throw his body around on the boards or holding his ground defensively. In North Medford's consolation title game loss to Sunset, he pulled down 9 boards and blocked a couple of shots.

Trey Saunders (2024 Sunset)

Saunders has been racking up point so far this season and it was easy to see why at the Lakeridge Tournament - he's a flat out scorer. The 6-foot-1 guard has a super quick release on his outside jumper and he isn't shy about launching it. Where the well-built junior really gets his points is in transition as he's a tremendous finisher around the hoop. Early and often he used his motor on defense to grab a steal and then convert a subsequent layup.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387908' first='Houston' last='Klug'] (2024 North Medford)

It's been a rebuilding year for North Medford but Klug has been a shining light of sorts. The 6-foot-3 junior is a lanky athlete, capable of slashing to the hoop or facing up and hitting open jumpers. He was very active on both ends for the Black Tornado in the game against Sunset, finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379047' first='Keenan' last='Reckamp'] (2025 Southridge)

Pressed into service in the starting lineup due to player injuries/sickness, Reckamp held his own in the Lakeridge Tournament finals. The 5-foot-11 lefty exhibited plenty of toughness, using his left-handed dribble to create space fearlessly in the lane for his own shot or that for others. Defensively, he showed plenty of hustle and intensity.

Levi Hawes (2025 South Eugene)

Hawes is a young swingman to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-3 sophomore is long and lanky, which especially helps him on the boards and within South Eugene's full court press. Against McDaniel, he was outstanding finishing in transition and was constantly banging on the offensive boards for second chance opportunities.
