Jermaine Washington Jr. led Rancho Verde to a comfortable victory over CDM on Monday night with 20 points. Washington Jr. impacted every phase of the game as he was a menace on defense and couldn’t be stopped on the offensive end. Jermaine used his strength and quickness on offense to breeze past whomever was trying to guard him which resulted in 4 made three pointers and numerous opportunities created for his teammates.

Anthony Smith Jr. dominated in the open court Monday night on his way to 20 points in an easy win over CDM. Smith Jr. showed off his pace in this one as he routinely beat everyone down the court after collecting a long rebound and showed off the upper body strength to finish through contact repeatedly (with either hand).
Blake Manning
Blake Manning
Blake Manning chipped in 9 points and had several assists on Monday as Tesoro took care of Calvary Chapel. Manning has great vision on offense both for where the ball should go and where he can find space to hurt the defense. Blake took advantage of Calvary Chapel’s zone in this one by finding pockets of space to collect offensive rebounds, set up teammates for layups, or stretch the defense by hitting threes.
Travis Paleo
Travis Paleo
Travis Paleo continued his strong play Monday with 14 points and 3 three-pointers in a close loss to San Clemente. Paleo demonstrated why he is such a threat on catch-and-shoot opportunities in this one as well as being a very active and effective defender in Foothill’s 2/3 zone.
Caiden Curran
Caiden Curran
Caiden Curran is a really tough player who has to play as a big for his high school but would be better served as a guard at the next level. Curran uses his guard skills and handle to be a crafty scorer from the high post and on the defensive end has great awareness that allows him to regularly cover for teammates.
