Most of the teams are from the San Francisco Area part of NorCal. With the exception of a few. Here’s more standouts from PH’s one day at the event.
Theodore Lamb
Theodore Lamb
Lamb is an improving prospect who stands 6’8 and is still growing, and filling his frame. He has a good set of fundamental skills in which he uses. He works well from the top swinging and moving the ball from side to side. He boxes out, uses his length to effect shots, and get rebounds. He can score in the paint, and has a 3ptr he’ll shoot. He has a good upside.
Izeyah Wright
Izeyah Wright
The multi sport prospect (football) is a bouncy power forward who does everything with strength. His power moves include dunks off two feet under the rim with authority, going up high for rebounds, and blocks. He had hard dribbles, and strong drives into the paint from the perimeter. He had a productive 12pts, along with multiple rebounds and solid defense in a close game they lost by 2.
Caden DeVries
Caden DeVries
He plays the point guard position most of the game. He did well as a facilitator in half-court sets. His quality handles, and vision found teammates cutting to the basket or spotting up behind the 3pt line along the perimeter. He plays under control going to the rim for finishes in different ways or passing out. 6pts, multiple assists.
Donovan Hawkins
Donovan Hawkins
He showed good athleticism and put pressure on the defense throughout the game with his ability to score at what they call 3 levels. He had strong takes off the dribble to get into the paint, he plays well off two feet. He pulled up from behind the 3pt line and he hit the short jumper. His 4-3ptrs, solid defense, and rebounding gave his team a chance to win.
Will Perkins
Will Perkins
Perkins provides this team with another option to put points on the board. He’s kind of versatile with a decent set of skills and a body that can get stronger. He played a good floor game. He spots up well behind the 3pt line, he had strong drives for points in the paint. He can finish in transition. He plays with good intensity. His 15pts led the team.
Jake Rodriquez
Jake Rodriquez
It was an exciting game end to end with players from both side putting up points, but in the end it was Rodriquez’s consistency and his pace that was most notable. He scored 18pts, dished out multiple assists. He’s excellent at finding and dishing to teammates. He repeatedly got into the paint, made good decisions on passing or shooting.
Owen Brown
Owen Brown
He started off fast and hot knocking down three 3’s in the first half, his first two shots went in from 3, then he hit another in the second. He was 3/3 from 3 at the half. We get the feeling he’s a solid 3pt shooter in this class. He cooled off a bit, but showed he could put it on the floor with a couple of driving layups. He finished with 15pts.
Nikita Karsev
Nikita Karsev
He might be the glue guy on this team that likes to play fast. He’s looks like a capable scorer from game to game depending on circumstances, but he’s a tough rebounder who sprints the court for transition points. He plays hard on both ends without the ball, defending, making cuts, settings screens and getting put backs. He has a decent shot, he hit a 3, to finish with 9pts.
