Andrew Buck Andrew Buck 6'3" | SG Ranney School | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Ranney
Buck moves into the starting lineup this season and should have a strong season for the Panthers. The 6’2 guard moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself up for open jumpers and layups in the half court. Buck has a good handle, which he uses to get into the paint and is unselfish with the ball in his hands. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet on the defensive end. Buck should get more touches on the offensive end this season, which should help his stock in a big way.
Tye Dorset Tye Dorset 6'3" | SG Lenape | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SG Lenape
Dorset is the top returning scorer for the reigning South Jersey Group 4 champions and will be a key part of their offense again this season. The 6’3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from the perimeter. Dorset has a good handle as well as he can get to the rim and finish around the basket. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and has the ability to defend both backcourt spots as well. Dorset will be counted on to lead Lenape’s offense this season as the Indians look to repeat as South Jersey Group 4 champions.
Philip Unangst Philip Unangst 6'6" | SF Hillsborough | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 SF Hillsborough
The Raiders have the potential to make some noise this season as Unangst gets to debut his all-around game. The 6’6 wing is comfortable playing on the perimeter as he has a good handle and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. Unangst is a strong finisher around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to influence shots on defense. Unangst is a lanky wing prospect who should put up good numbers for Hillsborough in 2022-23.
Amir Abdullah Amir Abdullah 5'10" | PG University | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 PG Newark East Side
Abdullah started for the Red Raiders last season, but will have a bigger role in the offense with David Olaniyi‘s graduation. The 5’10 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Abdullah moves well without the ball in his hands and is a solid finisher around the basket. He is an underrated rebounder and moves his feet on the defensive end. Abdullah is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should get more looks in Newark East Side’s offense this season.
Shane Sheehan Shane Sheehan 6'9" | PF Westfield | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 PF Westfield
Sheehan is a breakout prospect to watch this season as he will be the go-to guy down low for the Blue Devils. The 6’6 forward has a good touch around the basket and knows how to get position down low. Sheehan runs the floor hard and is able to draw contact in the paint. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a solid interior defender. Sheehan has the potential to be a double-double machine this season for Westfield as he gets more looks on the offensive end.
