Javori is a high level guard who takes pride in locking you up on the defensive end of things, and then get to the rim and finish over bigger defenders. He is unafraid of contact and often invites it on his way to the rim, routinely finishing through the chest of his opponent in the paint. I loved watching him dance around his opponent before quickly bursting towards the rim to finish. He is good at waiting for just the right moment to find his teammates wide open cutting to the basket after drawing the attention of their defender. His relentlessness with a live dribble and constant penetration allows him to live in the paint, and create countless opportunities for his teammates. In the half court, he is a real weapon out of the pick and roll through his ability to tightly turn the corner and forcing the second defender to make a decision. He calmly makes the right reads time and time again to get his teammates open looks. Where he really makes his mark on the game is his ability to turn defense into offense and live on the fast break. In transition, he is a force to be reckoned with, he attacks straight down the floor and forces the defense to react.
Michael Collins Michael Collins 6'1" | PG Shadow Creek | 2025 State TX 2025 6’1 Shadow Creek High School
You can really tell Michael has put in the work this off-season. He has always had a high motor allowing him to fly around the court and intensely defend on ball, but the confidence that is oozing out of this young man now is palpable. I have been very impressed with his ability to lock up other high level guards, really taking pride in his ability to play on the defensive end of the court. Now, he is looking to take you off the bounce, hunting for his own shot across all three levels with ease. He loves turning the corner on you, and his blazing quickness keeps his opponent’s off balance as he changes his speed. He even has a nasty step back jumper he can get to with his incredibly tight handle, making him a complete offensive weapon. He will now be tasked with having most of the offense run through him, and I am really intrigued to watch him produce this year.
Kingston Flemings Kingston Flemings 6'1" | PG San Antonio Brennan | 2025 State #80 Nation TX 2025 6’2 Brennan High School
Kingston is a high level point guard who can create opportunities for his teammates or score at a high level and play off the ball. His versatility on both ends of the court is a real weapon for himself. He has good size and length allowing him to take on intense match-ups defensively, but also use his length and athleticism to score above and round his opponents down low. He always has the ability to score off the dribble at will at all three levels but truly makes his mark with his vision and ability to set up his teammates. Whether he was firing full court passes to his teammates for easy looks or attacking the basket and drawing a second defender and finding his open teammates from the backside rotation, Flemings consistency picks apart almost every defense thrown at him.
Trent Pane 2025 6’0 Allen High School
Trent is the kind of do it all point guard that any coach would be lucky to have on their roster, who is willing to defend, snatch rebounds off the rim or score across all three levels if necessary. He has an impressive leaping ability to rebound the ball, finish at the rim, reject shots and rise up to create space with his jumper. I was blown away by his non stop motor, and how he used his aggressiveness to go coast to coast and finish in the paint. He is a sharp shooting guard off the bounce, who can shoot from beyond the arc and in the mid-range, depending on what the defense gave him. His shooting is probably the second best aspect of his game, next to his athleticism and aggressiveness. His high level scoring ability pairs well with his unselfishness and ability to create for his teammates. He showed an ability to play on or off the ball, allowing him to be mold-able into any offense at the next level…
Calvin Murphy III Calvin Murphy III 6'0" | PG Dream City Christian | 2025 State AZ 2025 6’0 Jack Yates High School
Calvin is a smart and crafty point guard who is special at creating offense for his teammates, but has a lightning quick crossover and end to end speed. I loved his foot speed and how he used his shiftiness to make the defense work when they attempted to pick him up full court. He shook off full court pressure and continued to effect the game with his vision and how well he manipulated the defense in the half court. He is a smart shooter who really seems to only take shots when he has the supreme advantage, and is comfortable using post fade aways to create separation. When he drew a second defender, time and time again he made the right kick-out pass to punish the defense. His creation and overall feel for the court really stood out and is a big reason why his team had success this summer and I fully expect him to take that right over to Yates this season.
