Will Householter – PG – 6’3” – 2023 Mira Costa
Doesn’t look like the strongest guy but he is one of the strongest finishers I’ve seen at his size. The way that he uses his body is very impressive. With a great lefty shooting touch he forces the defense to come up, which gives him the lane to drive. He also pairs that with an intense defense mentality, making him someone that you want on your team as a leader.
Aaron Butler – PG – 6’0” – 2023 Dominguez
The second he is on the court he takes control of the game as the point guard. But he is also lengthy and explosive, especially in the fastbreak. He goes after every loose ball like the game depends on it and sets up his teammates in the halfcourt extremely well.
Chris Garcia – PG – 5’10” – 2023 LB Millikan
Very undersized but has big man rebounding and paint touch skills. He fights like a dog whenever he is on the court. He keeps the defense honest with his three-point shooting, but his bread and butter is within the paint.
Jordan Taylor – SG – 6’1” – 2025 Los Alamitos
This shooter is a young guard that was able to show a lot of value in his minutes today. He always makes the right decision in the moment even when it doesn’t directly benefit him. With his good size and three more years to improve his skill set, I like what he already brings to the court.
Nick Lundy – SF/PF – 6’4” – 2023 Mira Costa
He is a guard in a strong big man’s body. You will watch him use his build to his advantage when finishing in the paint. He always takes it strong to the basket which forces the defense to collapse. On the defensive end, he is very active in getting steals and blocks, while also putting opposing centers under pressure.
Ernest Love – PG – 6’1″ – 2023 Sonora
He is an instant burst of energy on both ends of the court. His offensive talent is most definitely there but I was more impressed with the other side of the ball. Whoever he was guarding was completely taken out of the game physically and mentally. He has room to grow as a pure shooter, but you can see that he has it in him.
Tyler Holmquist – PG – 6’0” – 2026 Sonora
The only freshman on the roster and there was a lot to see that was impressive. As a lefty slasher, he will light it up from outside. He is on the lighter side, so he might get pushed around a little, but he has four years to grow into his body. He has a sweet stroke from the outside and it will be exciting to watch him build his game around that.
Tai Gan – PG – 5’10” – 2025 Trabuco Hills
Filling in as the backup point guard, he fills in everything a coaching staff would be looking for. Most of his attributes are on the defensive end as a young guard. He has a calm poise when bringing up the ball with constant pressure that many teams need on their roster. Setting him up for corner threes is how he succeeds when he isn’t setting up his teammates.
Michael Archer – SG – 6’0” – 2023 Villa Park
This kid is a straight-up shooter. He doesn’t bring too much value other than his lights-out shooting, but when you can shoot it as well as he can sometimes it just doesn’t matter.
