We’ll be looking for top standouts each day, and after we finish the tournament on Saturday, look out for all-tournament teams and superlatives.
Blake Manning – PG – 6’2” – 2023 Tesoro
After gaining some traction with his finish to last season, his play as a Southern California guard is starting to shine through. Sometimes there are players that just play the game right and he is one of them. He always makes the right decision and does what he needs to do to get his team the win. Hitting open shots, making extra passes, and creating when nothing is there.
Trent Minter Trent Minter 6'5" | SG Los Alamitos | 2025 State CA-S – SF – 6’5” – 2025 Los Alamitos
Execution on the free throw line extended is where he will thrive the most. He’ll hit the midrange, and when in the post, he passes well out of the double teams. On the defensive side of the ball, he thrives in the passing lanes and blocks shots at the rim. If you are looking for a solid player that will get it done on both sides, Trent is straight-up reliable.
Preston Ezewiro Preston Ezewiro 6'7" | C Mira Costa | 2025 State CA-S – SG/SF – 6’7” – 2025 Mira Costa
Leading his team to a 64-point victory, he was able to show a variety of skills while he is out on the court. Coming back from his freshman campaign four inches taller, his performance also grew. His shooting stroke is high caliber but he also has a high IQ for the game when pulling apart the defense and creating for himself and others.
Matt Mowers – C/PF – 6’4” – 2024 Trabuco Hills
A guard that was gifted a center’s body is the easiest way to put it. When putting him on the block or the elbow, he picks apart the defense every possession. With a great-looking shot for his size, it just adds another element to his game that forces the defense to guard him inside and out.
Peyton Guerrero – SG – 6’3” – 2023 Ocean View
Calm and collected up the court under a full-court defense. He takes over on the offensive end in a variety of ways. He will step back jumper you to death. On the opposite end of the floor, he is a menace, blocking shots left and right. Always being in the right spot is something you can’t always teach.
Nate Tuttle – SG/SF – 6’4” – 2023 Trabuco Hills
A lefty slasher that likes to use his build to his advantage. His best attribute is you will not see him settle. He continues to look for the best shot in each possession, whether he is taking it himself or dishing it to the open guy. His timing for the game is impeccable on both ends, especially when he is blocking shots.
Jake Bennett – C/PF – 6’7 – 2023 Tesoro
Provides great paint presence on both sides of the ball. He has filled in well to his large body and uses it to his advantage. Watching him he shows skills that will transition well to the next level with his activity on the glass making for quick fastbreaks and easy second-chance opportunities.
Isaac Sowell – PF – 6’4” – 2023 Dominguez
Very strong in the paint on both ends. Excels in the fastbreak with and without the ball. He is an animal on the glass and will outrebound an entire team by himself. He is undersized for the next level, but he was able to show off guard skills that make him intriguing to give a chance.
Jaedon Anderson – SG – 6’3” – 2025 La Habra
Shooter with one of the prettiest releases I’ve seen in a while. He steps up on the defensive end and is also great in help positions. The second he steps on the court he provides space for the rest of his teammates and is a threat the second he crosses half-court.
