This league, you want to talk personality, this league has so much personality from the coaches! And a lot of good coaches as well. The Mississippi 8 is also a league where I think a lot of different things could happen meaning teams near the bottom of the league are going to be competing strong with nearly everybody.

Top Ten in State Potential: Princeton, Becker

If Becker was to step up and get their M8 title, this would be their best chance. The Dogs have an excellent senior class with size and skill, and Princeton is replacing a big part of their line-up. [player_tooltip player_id='962273' first='Cooper' last='Drews'] does enter the season as the Mississippi 8 Preseason Player of the Year, but at the same time, Becker has a lot more returning from a 17 win team. I think the Princeton/Becker battles will be headline views as the Tigers look to win another league title. Becker has more experience returning, Princeton has history and momentum on their side

Compete with Most: Big Lake, Cambridge-Isanti, St. Francis, North Branch, Chisago Lakes, Monticello

Yes everybody in this league will be able to compete, or should be able to compete night in and night out. Looking through things, Monticello has a bit more depth back than I thought. [player_tooltip player_id='1579922' first='Luke' last='Emmerich'] could move into the star role and there are some reserves back too. You have Big Lake who lost a couple all league players but they were so balanced that you can four really good pieces return. St. Francis, if they can figure out how to piece wins with one of the state's best prospects in [player_tooltip player_id='962233' first='Matthew' last='Bothun'], they will win. Cambridge-Isanti will stretch people to frustration with their shooting, and after their strong finish, they have solid expectations. North Branch won 16 games last season but lost a big core of seniors that meant a lot to the program. That said, [player_tooltip player_id='962266' first='Carson' last='Klein'] is a nice player. Chisago Lakes should be better (5-22 last year) so they shouldn't the "average loss of 15 a game" team they were last season.
