They will have shooters, a number of lead guard prospects to choose from starting with freshman standout [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'], a center in [player_tooltip player_id='1284091' first='Brayden' last='Carlson'] and tough versatile forwards in the Charlies. No other team in this Section has all of those pieces. That said, those pieces have to come together and they certainly could, they have played a lot of basketball together. But there is that one sticking point in their mind..... Cretin-Derham Hall has won five of the last six section crowns and most of the time it was the Raptors grabbing that second place trophy. So CDH, this is the third straight season that they will have nearly an entire new roster/rotation. They've proven they can do that and win before, but there's no Tre Holloman leading the way this time. The Raiders do have several transfers (Jacobson, [player_tooltip player_id='1284086' first='Anthony' last='Knight'], Monteff Dixon, and [player_tooltip player_id='1560840' first='Jason' last='Johnson']) to lean on and a few kids from JV ready for their varsity shot. But with so many new faces and no star to lean on it looks like the section is open. And that's where stars [player_tooltip player_id='962206' first='Max' last='Shikenjanski'] of Stillwater (headed to The Citadel) and [player_tooltip player_id='962200' first='Jack' last='Janicki'] (walking on at Wisconsin) come in. Stillwater has their best two players back, a couple quality transfers coming in, and some role guys ready for bigger roles. WBL won't be as deep as Stillwater but their combo of Janicki and [player_tooltip player_id='1485219' first='Wyatt' last='Hawks'] (headed to St. Cloud State) gives them an edge on most. Both have a chance to win the section, although Janicki will start the season injured after a shoulder injury. Then there is always tough Tartan and Woodbury. Tartan's got a really nice junior class while Woodbury has four of their top eight back and a pair in Narum and Bolin who have taken big steps forward. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
