It's been a long, long time since there were THIS many freshmen that were expected to have strong varsity impacts and be future prospects. Here are ten (and there are more).

[player_tooltip player_id='1560835' first='Tian' last='Chatman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'] of Totino-Grace. It's tough to know exactly what role these frosh will have in year one on varsity because the Eagles have a D1 offered level starting five that will be defending a title. There are also some very good reserve guards that will have roles so what Chatman and Ijadimbola do off the bench is tough to know, but both are quite talented and fun to keep an eye on. And they are in similar spots coming in so I just shared them together.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560739' first='Max' last='Iversen'] of Delano. When it comes to skill level and feel, [player_tooltip player_id='1560739' first='Max' last='Iversen'] is already at a level that few high school basketball players will ever reach. Delano struggled last year but they have three returning guards that can all playmake and their frontcourt players all did well in 17u. Delano will be an interesting team to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560741' first='Will' last='Kirsch'] of Waconia. Will was really good for Holy Family last year but with football a focus he is at Waconia and will be a playmaker for the Cats. Kirsch teaming with [player_tooltip player_id='1434056' first='Jackson' last='Hayes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1223098' first='Ty' last='Miller'] should make them a good team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] of Hopkins. Before school started this morning [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] was in the Lindberg Center getting shots up. The top frosh is ready to lead a Royals team that people should not totally look away from. Moore and [player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] will make a heck of a backcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='1345987' first='Vincent' last='Hillesheim'] had a fantastic 17u season, and there are 2-3 seniors to be ready for their turn who can play. And Moore will lead.

J.P. Musoke of Breck. Last year the 6'4 forward scored 14 points a game for the Eagle Ridge Academy varsity. Now the hard working attacking forward is at Breck and will be a part of a line-up that seems to get better every day.

Braden Petzel of Mankato East. He's 6'9 and he blocks a ton of shots. Already a strong 210 pounds with a really nice touch around the rim, he will be one of the top posts in the Big Nine. And he's a hell of an offensive tackle too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] of East Ridge. The Raptors have so many quality upperclassmen pieces, they just need a PG to run it all. Normally a freshmen doing that would be something to cringe at, now with the mature game of Ced Tomes. Trusted young players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'] of Benidle-St. Margaret's. When it comes to youngA talent BSM has a ton of it and they will need it, BSM does not have many experienced upperclassmen. Wiggins is a very interesting young player with length, skill, and slashing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf'] of Eden Prairie. EP is a school that plays a lot of experienced, and disciplined upperclassmen so it's tough to know what role Hamze will have on varsity or JV. That said, Coach Flom played some frosh last season so I wouldn't totally shut the idea down. Yusuf is so aggressive with the ball.
