<p>Every year in the town of Waconia hosts Nickle Dickle Days, a day of run, car show, arts and crafts, food, shopping, music, and the 3 on 3 basketball tournament for all ages. At the end of the day Nickle Dickle host a 3-point contest and a Slam Dunk Contest of some of Minnesota's best current prep players.</p>

<p>For the 3-point contest some that competed were recent Butler commit [player_tooltip player_id='962212' first='Boden' last='Kapke'] along with [player_tooltip player_id='962218' first='Nasir' last='Whitlock'], [player_tooltip player_id='1288706' first='Jalen' last='Langsy'], Jonathon Mekonnen, and [player_tooltip player_id='1492564' first='Collin' last='Mulholland']. In the end the 6-foot guard from Shakopee Langsy took the crowd edging out Whitlock 16-15 in the final round. Six-foot-ten-inch center Kapke finished third.</p>

<p>While the shooting display by Langsy was an enjoyable part of the event, most came for the Slam Dunk Contest. Some pulling double duty, Kapke, Mekonnen, and Whitlock, we also got to see [player_tooltip player_id='962201' first='Maxsamus' last='Wilson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1139197' first='Adam' last='Jenkins'], [player_tooltip player_id='1223070' first='Patrick' last='Bath'], incoming Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'], and shortest contestant ever [player_tooltip player_id='1499627' first='Lorenzo' last='Levy'].</p>

<p>The crown for best dunk was either Wilson, The six-foot-four-inch guard throwing the ball off the gym wall and catching off the bounce, or [player_tooltip player_id='1499627' first='Lorenzo' last='Levy'], the five-foot-nine-inch guard from Minnehaha Academy who did a windmill off the bounce. [player_tooltip player_id='962212' first='Boden' last='Kapke'] took home the honors as the Dunk champion however with three impressive dunks of his own. 2024 Eastview wing Mekonnen took second place and Wilson finished third.
