He proved he is much more than just a tall player. Jacob is a 6-8 strong big man. He was really good on the pick and took advantage of the mismatch if the defense switched on the screens. He showed he has good hands, catching the ball high in the post, and grabbing rebounds.  He was very vocal on the court, and controlled his body and  finished strong at the rim through contact. What I didn't realize until Saturday about his game was that he has the ability to stretch the floor. He played very intense defense, with active hands and a good stance. He has good lateral quickness and can beat the offensive players to the spot. He showed his strong basketball IQ by making good reads on the defense with his passes. He also set hard and  good fundamental screens.
