Christian continues to look like one of the best overall players in this class. He is the full package at 6’2” being able to do everything on both sides of the ball. He has a great all-around offensive game, he can stretch the floor being able to knock down shots from the outside. He can attack the rim and score with pull-up jumpers in the mid-range as well. Wiggins was also a main facilitator for his team, bringing the ball up the floor at times and assisting teammates to good looks. He will return to BSM for his freshman season as he saw some varsity minutes last year as an 8th grader.

Dominic was one of the most physically imposing players this past weekend, but also showed some of his skills he has with the ball in his hands. He was exceptional in the post and rebounding the ball. He does a great job using his body to seal opponents off in the post, as well as boxing out when grabbing rebounds. Webster showed flashes of what he can do handling the ball, as he can push the ball up the floor or make an accurate outlet pass to get a fast break or transition run started. He will spend his first year of high school at Elk River where I would not be surprised if he saw varsity time.
This was my second time seeing Kenny play this summer and he impressed me once again. He stands at 6’5” and is very strong, constantly imposing his will on the opposition. The incoming freshman showed off some skillful moves in the post and grabbed a handful of contested rebounds. It seems as if he always knows where the ball will be when it comes off of the rim. Another aspect of Turner’s game that impressed me was his interior and post defense. He always made it tough for opposing offensive players and knows how to take good angles to get good contests on shots. Kenny will be attending St. Paul Johnson, who has been a very underrated team over the past couple years and has some under the radar talent coming up in their system.

Colin has dominated in both times I have seen him play this summer. His game is very unique as he can do everything you need him to do at 6’5”. He dominated in the painted area and was unstoppable when attacking the rim and in the post. A lot of those scores attacking the basket came off passes in transition as he did a great job running the floor and anticipating a pass. Piper also connected with some shots from beyond the arc showing that can contribute as a stretch-four. He will be attending White Bear Lake this year and should see some varsity minutes in his freshman season.

Woeser can fit into both guard spots, as well as playing a little bit of the three this past weekend. He was very effective in off-ball situations, as well as controlling the game with the ball in his hands. He was a very efficient scorer, finding ways to put points on the board in many different ways. He was truly a three-level scorer, finding success getting to the basket, pulling up in the mid-range, and connecting with some deep looks. Jenpa is a very smart player and also got his teammates involved, picking up numerous assists. He is an all-around offensive weapon and will be suiting up for Prior Lake in his freshman season.
Banyaan is a very intriguing prospect in this incoming freshman class. He stands at 6’4” and has an incredibly long wingspan. He is still a very raw prospect offensively, but did show flashes of what he can do with the ball in hands. Where he impressed me most was with his defense and his rebounding. He was constantly deflecting passes and altering shots with his long arms and grabbed several rebounds. Omot was also effective in the pick & roll, setting some nice screens and rolling to the hoop with good footwork and some nice finishes at the rim. It will be interesting to see Banyaan’s progression as a prospect and where he will finish with his height and wingspan. He will join a deep pool of talent in the Austin program.

Kyle was a player who really caught my attention on Saturday. He was one of the best scorers I saw all day and can really do it all when it comes to putting the ball in the basket. He has a lightning quick release on his shots and was deadly in the pull-up and catch and shoot. This would sometimes lead to catching opponents off guard and he would get his shot off with little to no contest at all. Peterson also attacked the rim with no fear, absorbing contact and finishing at the basket with full control. I also saw him drive right or the left then spin to the middle and hit a floater or mid-range pull-up which was very impressive. He will be attending Eagan this year.
