Tounde Yessoufou of St. Joseph (Santa Maria) took home the overall camp MVP honors while he was joined by Modesto Christian guard Rashod Cotton as being selected the Top 30 game Most Outstanding Players. In this piece we take a look at the best and most consistent scorers in the event.
DeMarco Johnson, 2025, Southern California Academy
Johnson is a highly shifty guard off the bounce who uses his speed and quick-twitch athleticism to create space from defenders and score in a variety of ways. The 6-foot-3 combo guard used his consistent step-back jumper to set up hesitations into drives and finishes around the basket. The sophomore flashed his great feel when creating shots for himself in isolation situations.
Gregory Lawson, 2025, Davison (MI)
Lawson was one of the more difficult covers in the event due to his combination of size, strength, explosive athleticism and aggressiveness on the offensive end. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Michigan started off the camp with bully-ball tactics that allowed him to get into the lane and finish through contact. As the event went on, Lawson showed that he has plenty of skill in his arsenal as he knocked down mid-range jumpers and catch-and-shoot three’s with consistency.
Kaiden Bailey, 2026, Crean Lutheran
Bailey has a chance to lead Orange County in scoring as a freshman; that’s how talented he is. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has deep three-point range off the bounce or off the catch, but is also a sly ball handler who can get in the lane and finish through or around contact. Bailey is a super crafty finisher around the basket and knows how to use the glass to his advantage.
Kellen Hampton Kellen Hampton 6'7" | SF Southern California Academy | 2025 #120 Nation CA-S , 2025, Moreau Catholic
Hampton put up some ridiculous scoring numbers and the 6-foot-7 wing is trending as one of the state’s top sophomore prospects. Hampton was relentless on the offensive end as he used his size to drive, create space, and finish at the rim, but he also worked some skill into his scoring ways as he knocked down deep three’s and mid-range jumpers off the bounce.
Rashod Cotton, 2026, Modesto Christian
Cotton was also mentioned in out “Best Shooters” piece from the event and his all-around scoring feel earned him another mention among the best scorers. The 6-foot guard scored in every way imaginable – pull-up three’s and mid-range jumpers, floaters in the lane, crafty layups around rim protectors, transition drives and finishes. The freshman has a feel on the offensive end that is well-beyond his years.
Tounde Yessoufou, 2025, St. Joseph (Santa Maria)
The overall camp MVP continued to add to his resume as the west’s top player regardless of class. At 6-feet-6 with bouncy athleticism, fluid ball-handling ability and a motor that never quits, Yessoufou dominated the event on both ends of the floor, but for the purpose of this piece, we will focus on his scoring ability. What has really separated Yessoufou from those in his class and in other classes, really, is his improved three-point touch. The sophomore has turned himself into a knockdown shooter off the dribble which has turned him into a true inside-out threat. No matter what the setting is – half-court offense or transition – you can count on Yessoufou to create shots for himself.
