With many new prospects added to the list, we’re working to profile every one with analysis on what you need to know about them. In this article we’re going to be looking at some bigs who are on our radar after strong summer performances.
Taylor got an offer from Shawnee State in the summer after a solid spring playing for a Nova-Village squad with some impressive central Ohio talent. The son of a coach, Taylor shows his advanced IQ of the game when you watch him play. Taylor is a tough scorer inside the paint and averaged just over 9 PPG as a Junior. It will be interesting to follow Taylor’s recruitment during his senior season.
Meadows is an undersized forward who really impressed me for Lakota East this summer. Meadows does the little things like setting strong screens, rebounding and defending bigger players. A guy who looks like a defensive linemen on the football field, Meadows impressed me with his feet and mobility. Meadows could be an X-factor in the Thunderhawk’s GMC title push.
The Moeller big has waited his turn and now is ready to contribute as a senior for the Crusaders. Henning has good size for a small college center and showed the ability to pass, screen and rebound. I expect Henning to play a role for a Moeller squad that’s projected to be one of the best in SW Ohio in 2022-23.
Rivers is a player I found on the Prep Hoops Circuit with legit size and physical upside to be had. Rivers is a large prospect who had some finishes in the paint where he was simply too big to be stopped. Rivers needs to improve his ball skills and conditioning, but has the body to be an effective college basketball player with the right development.
Schnipke is another Prep Hoops Circuit prospect who showed some potential for CLP Elite. Still figuring out how to maximize his size, Schnipke is a work in progress as a prospect. He’s got the height, length and blocked a decent amount of shots for CLP Elite. With a solid senior season for Lima Shawnee, one of the best Division II programs in Ohio, Schnipke could get some Division III or JUCO interest with a program willing to work with him.
