Our 2027 Rankings Update saw 27 names get added to our list and in this article I'll break down six names who made their debut this week.

Small college programs are always looking for size and length on the interior and Allen certainly fits that description. With his wingspan and height, Allen could be an impactful rim protector at the college level. Bigs always take longer to develop than guards and while Allen hasn't had the opportunity to make an impact at the varsity level in arguably the most talented conference in Ohio, Allen could be a surprise story this winter in Cincinnati if he shows some impressive interior scoring and shot blocking flashes. At his height, some small college programs will take a hard look at developing him if he wants to put in the work.

The opposite of the last big mentioned in this article, Paulus is a big bruiser in the paint who has soft hands and is polished as an interior scorer. Paulus finished second in the GWOC in rebounding last season and should put up close to a double-double on a nightly basis this season. Beavercreek returns their two leading scorers from last season and could be a surprise team in the GWOC this season, a league that has the most talent I've seen in years. Look for Paulus to give teams trouble with his interior scoring and mass in the paint.

Another big fella who puts up big time numbers during the high school season, Briggs is a two sport star for the Golden Rockets and has already eclipsed 1,000 career points at the high school level. Briggs has the size to dominate the interior in the TVC and also has the skill to step out and knock down an open shot. Briggs recently received his first offer from Bluffton in May and should start to see more college interest this winter from regional small college programs.

Gill should see a bigger role for the Vikings this season after standing out in June with the defending state champions. Gill can guard player much taller than him thanks to his low center of gravity, toughness and length. Gill appeared in 25 games last season for the Vikings and shot 32% from 3-point range. I'd expect Gill to become a well known glue guy for the Vikings this season as they will play in numerous marquee games this season as they look to make their state title defense.

The ECC has a handful of talented guards and Dillon cracked out list after averaging 8 points and 3.4 rebounds a contest as a junior. With the top two scorers graduating from last season, Dillon should be the top option for Loveland as they look to stay competitive in a league that's on the rise. Dillon should see an increase in his volume but also should aim for an increase in his efficiency as well this season. A couple years ago Dillon came to our Sophomore showcase and showed off his scoring ability and I'd expect more fans in Cincinnati to take notice this winter.

Dublin Coffman should be one of the top teams in central Ohio this winter with a nice mix of shooting, size and experience. Krumpak fits two of those descriptions as he is an impressive perimeter shooter and has plenty of experience playing with Dublin Coffman at the varsity level, getting heavy playing time in June and playing at grassroots events and the Midwest Fall League. Krumpak knows how to play next to high volume scoring options to space the floor and should be productive for a team that will contend for conference and regional championships this season.
