Small college programs are always looking for size and length on the interior and Allen certainly fits that description. With his wingspan and height, Allen could be an impactful rim protector at the college level. Bigs always take longer to develop than guards and while Allen hasn’t had the opportunity to make an impact at the varsity level in arguably the most talented conference in Ohio, Allen could be a surprise story this winter in Cincinnati if he shows some impressive interior scoring and shot blocking flashes. At his height, some small college programs will take a hard look at developing him if he wants to put in the work.

Most bigs at Allen’s height usually need a lot of time to contribute at the varsity or college level and Allen is no exception as he saw rare minutes for the Big Blue as a Junior. Despite that lack of varsity experience, there’s a lot to like about Allen’s game. He stands at a legit 6’10 with long arms and can catch the ball in traffic. Allen obviously still has a long way to go but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play a much bigger role at the varsity level as a senior if he continues to work through the off-season and some college programs will be interested in adding a kid of his height to their roster.
