I focused on Varsity and JV Gold Boys divisions and I ended up watching 20+ teams.
Here were some of the 2025-2026 standouts from last weekend:
2025
Maper Maker Fairmont Prep/CA (AZ Unity 15 EYBL) (Pictured)
The youngest brother of Makur Maker and cousin of Thon Maker already has their elite size. He moves like he’s a wing and has long arms with a big wingspan. He is a plus athlete and covers a lot of ground in space and inside. He blocks anything that comes near him and will rim run and rebounds with two hands high above the crowd. He plays above the rim and has a nice hook shot plus he can hit an occasional perimeter jumper.
Jaion Pitt Jaion Pitt 6'7" | PF Canyon International Academy | 2025 State #90 Nation AZ Dream City (AZ Unity 15 EYBL)
An elite motored power forward makes plays every game he plays. He rebounds in and out of his area, blocks shots, scores it near the hoop and closes out to perimeter shooters impressively. His versatility on defense and motor makes his game go.
EJ Sommers EJ Sommers 6'9" | C Phhoenix Prep | 2025 State AZ Pinnacle (AZ Select 15 UAA)
A highly skilled and cerebral forward. He can step out and hit the three plus has impeccable post footwork with counter moves. He is a good passer off the double team or high post and is extremely patient. He looked almost an inch taller then in the beginning of the year.
Carlos Coronado Jr Carlos Coronado Jr 6'3" | PG Supreme Academy | 2025 State AZ Coolidge (AZ Select 15 UAA)
A pure point guard with a high feel for the game and next level court vision. He can hit the three off the catch, burst by his defenders and score it in the lane. He has floaters and gets to the free throws line. His ability to handle pressure and think fast makes his game go.
Quinn Athanassoulis Quinn Athanassoulis 6'5" | SF Canyon International Academy | 2025 State AZ Dream City (AZ Unity)
A bigger wing forward grew at least an inch or probably two in the last year. He is a natural scorer who is best shooting the ball. He can hit triples from off the catch or pull and take it to the basket with his bigger size.
2026
Cameron Holmes Cameron Holmes 6'5" | SF Millennium | 2026 State AZ Millennium AZ Unity 15 EYBL
One of the best prospects in the 2026 class. He will be heading to Millennium and will impact the Tigers immediately. The bigger sized guard/wing has deep three point range, good ball skills, makes good passes, rebounds the ball, flushes it down on the break and will defend multiple positions.
Kalek House Kalek House 6'2" | CG Desert Mountain | 2026 State AZ North Canyon (AZ Unity 15 EYBL)
Another highly thought of incoming freshman notified me that he will be heading to North Canyon. He has good size already for position and plays fast in the open court. He can hit perimeter jumpers and get to the cup but he is more of a real facilitator. Like Jaelen House, he is a high level defender on the ball.
Miles Sadler Miles Sadler 5'11" | PG Canyon International Academy | 2026 State AZ Dream City (AZ Unity 17)
A jet quick scoring lead guard with a very good handle. He has an incredible first step with a real burst to get passed his defenders. Once he touches the paint he can make plays for others but is usually looking to score. He has a nice layup package and is quick on the ball. It is very early but Miles is one of the faster incoming guards I have viewed thus far.
