A few new names and player have stood out in Camp playa and there are some player that are a must see.
Standouts
Blake Chand || Copper Hills High School || 2026 ||
For an incoming freshman this kid is displaying some solid play. Scores the ball well and he is a smart play maker, especially with his passing. Blayke makes some solid reads and he puts the ball on the money. Exciting game that has a mixture of fundamental and creativity. He could be a nice player to develop or a player you take your lumps with at the varsity level and get him some valuable experience.
Itay Lustgarten Itay Lustgarten 6'1" | CG Skyline | 2026 State UT || Skyline High School || 2026 ||
Skilled player that can really give players his age trouble. He is one of those players that can give you a little dose of everything as he plays a CG type of position. Skyline is super loaded with guards but he is a player that would be next up as they are loaded with a senior heavy team.
Trey Hiatt Trey Hiatt 6'6" | PF Orem | 2025 State UT || Orem High School || 2025 ||
Trey was a force before he hit the high school level and he is playing well once again. He is a hybrid 3/4 that has a some surprising athletic ability. With some size and tough finishing ability Trey is going to be really solid highs chool player for Orem for many years. Defensively he is a tough player as well that is physical and he has good timing sliding his feet and elevating to contest and rebound.
Chance Dastrup Chance Dastrup 5'10" | PG Orem | 2025 State UT || Orem High School || 2025 ||
This kid was a surprise because he can shoot the ball and everyone on his teams knows it as they try and find him yet teams seem to make the mistake of leaving him open. He kind of has a two handed release but man he can make it rain. Will be a valuable weapon on a team that will have a lot of pieces and shooting will be a very valuable skill to have on the floor.
Players to Watch
6’3 CG Michael Mitton Michael Mitton 6'3" | CG Pleasant Grove | 2023 State UT || Pleasant Grove High School || 2023 ||
This kid has been under the radar all summer and he has game. Excited to see what he has been working on and what role he will be playing with his team this summer and moving forward.
6’5 CG Kevin Doe Kevin Doe 6'5" | CG East | 2023 State UT || East High School || 2023 ||
Kevin has really developed his game and his motor has really taken a step in the right direction. Kevin really has that take over ability and looking forward to seeing what he is doing t the club level at the high school level.
6’8 C Jagger Francom Jagger Francom 6'8" | C Ridgeline | 2024 State UT || Ridgeline High School || 2024 ||
Jagger has had a solid summer and with some solid pieces leaving because of graduation it is hit turn to take over a lot of the scoring. He has a solid skill package that has been on display at the club level and it’s time to see how he uses it at the high school level.
