Player Rankings Update: 2023 Stock Risers Pt. 3

No. 64 – 6-3 G [player_tooltip player_id="793816" first="Cameron" last="Pope"] – Cherokee
(Up from No. 77)
The steady quiet climb of [player_tooltip player_id="793816" first="Cameron" last="Pope"] continues. He had a breakout junior season and is part of a potent backcourt which scores from all over. Pope plays with really good balance. He jump stops off two feet in traffic to either rise up for jumpers or kick to shooters. Pope is a slick slasher with good footwork. He’s a dangerous three-point shooter that can get hot in a hurry. Reinhardt has offered.

No. 77 – 6-6 W [player_tooltip player_id="1223229" first="Harris" last="Jackson"] – Thomasville
(Up from No. 122)
Playing with Judah Nation has helped [player_tooltip player_id="1223229" first="Harris" last="Jackson"] really find himself. He’s a tough-nosed wing that can stroke it from deep. Jackson has enough creativity with the ball to work his way to the rim and finish through contact. With his height, Harris is a quality rebounder as well. Down in South Georgia he has slipped through the cracks a little, but I think he’s well worth D-II looks and should have a great senior season.

No. 78 – 6-1 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1359907" first="Jalexs" last="Ewing"] – Westside-Augusta
(Up from No. 124)
[player_tooltip player_id="1359907" first="Jalexs" last="Ewing"] is a freak athlete. He’s a human highlight reel when he gets momentum heading to the rim. Ewing swings games with his electrifying slams and his energy on defense. With the Southern Kings, he has been getting valuable reps at point guard helping initiate the offense. If Ewing can consistently hit the outside shot to go along with his driving, he could really turn into something special.

No. 81 – 6-0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="820305" first="Isaac" last="Martin"] – King’s Ridge
(Up from No. 96)
D-III schools are swooning over [player_tooltip player_id="820305" first="Isaac" last="Martin"]’s shot and decision making. He’s a deadeye three-point shooter who also understands how to run and offense and keep the ball moving. The coach’s son is adept at passing up a good shot for a great shot.

No. 86 – 6-0 CG [player_tooltip player_id="1131536" first="Daveon" last="Henderson"] – Westside-Macon
(Up from No. 127)
Class 4A’s Most Improved Player upped his averages from 9.7 ppg/5.2 rpg/2.2 apg/1.6 spg to 21.4 ppg/7.9 rpg/3 apg/1.7 spg.
