Player Rankings Update: 2023 New Additions Pt. 1

No. 72 – 6-7 PF [player_tooltip player_id="1426112" first="Julian" last="Walker"] – North Gwinnett
College coaches will fall in love with [player_tooltip player_id="1426112" first="Julian" last="Walker"]’s length, athleticism and motor. Able to play big minutes full time this upcoming season, Walker will make an impact as one of the top shot blockers in Class 7A. He has a developing low post game with hook shots and ball fakes. Walker is blossoming and has his best basketball ahead in college.

No. 73 – 6-5 W [player_tooltip player_id="1300746" first="Justin" last="McCarter"] – Osborne
The length and size of McCarter along with his shot making give him upside. Justin rebounds and goes coast-to-coast. He has a good pull-up jumper and has intriguing tools defensively. When he slices to the hoop, his reach and extension put him right at the rim.

No. 89 – 6-5 F [player_tooltip player_id="1444762" first="Keishawn" last="McPherson"] – Osborne
McPherson is an interesting piece. He’s a strong bodied combo-forward. He does a lot of his work on the interior but he can also step outside to space the floor. Keishawn is a good rebounder and a physical one at that. He’s got a little bully ball in his game and can be a mismatch with his wing skills. Expect a strong senior season in a much bigger role.

No. 97 – 6-2 G [player_tooltip player_id="1444755" first="Jay" last="Boyd"] – Hiram
[player_tooltip player_id="1444755" first="Jay" last="Boyd"] debuts at No. 96 but his ascent is just beginning. He has had a great summer with Wood Elite as a talented scorer that can make things happen downhill. Boyd is a name that will be popping up on college radars as the season goes on.

No. 104 – 6-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="1444756" first="Ryan" last="Luttrell"] – Pope
Luttrell is the latest big guard out of Pope to draw college attention. He’s able to attack from all three levels and uses his size to his advantage when scoring around the rim. Ryan moves well defensively and can defend 1-3.

No. 106 – 6-3 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1444760" first="Jackson" last="Bell"] – Mt. Bethel
A strong spring with NME lands [player_tooltip player_id="1444760" first="Jackson" last="Bell"] on the list. He’s got nice length and a quality skill set, able to impact games in a variety of ways. Jackson has had some big scoring outbursts but his ability to defend and make plays for others is quite impressive.

No. 107 – 6-5 PF [player_tooltip player_id="1444765" first="James" last="Leach"] – Beach
The long-armed bouncy rim protector popped up on radars after Beach took a Cinderella trip to the Class 3A Final Four. Leach is active around the rim and will challenge opponents. He’s not afraid to meet dunkers at the summit and can turn them back with his shot blocking. Leach is an effective roller out of the screen. James’ energy and athleticism allow him to thrive in up-tempo settings.
