Prep Network is an amazing employer that has provided me with a platform to put into words what I see from so many amazing high school basketball players. I can’t believe it, but for Prep Hoops alone I have now written 1300 articles. I’ve been lucky enough to cover so many incredible people and players. For my 1300 articles, I’m going to give you 10 future college forwards. These are some of the players from various classes that I feel are sure thing next level bets at a forward position.

[player_tooltip player_id="1356946" first="Travis" last="Ambrose"] (2024, PF, Muskegon Reeths-Puffer)

Ambrose just keeps improving and could be a steal at the next level. He might just average a double-double next high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id="986573" first="Jonathan" last="Coffey"] (2023, PF, Detroit King)

Coffey has played really well this spring and his game is screaming next level. He’s a strong and athletic forward and it should transfer to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1434240" first="Mohammad" last="Habhab"] (2024, PF, Fordson)

Coach Baiz from the Michigan Warriors called this one. Habhab is shooting up the rankings and will be one of the biggest movers at the next update. In reference to [player_tooltip player_id="1077679" first="Hutch" last="Ward"] below, we could see "The [player_tooltip player_id="1434240" first="Mohammad" last="Habhab"] Explosion" soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="1439364" first="Keashaun" last="Johnson"] (2025, SF, Muskegon)

Johnson is an explosive wing that will give opponents fits, even at the next level in my opinion. He runs the floor well, finishing above the rim off the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1157486" first="Camden" last="Karel"] (2025, PF, Byron Center)

Karel has so many physical gifts including his ability to get of the floor and his length. He has nice footwork on the offensive end and can score in a variety of ways from multiple spots on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130662" first="Sam" last="Lewis"] (2023, SF, Milford)

Lewis has been the go to guy at Milford for a while now. He’s a shot taker and shot maker, and will be at the next level as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1224147" first="Gerrard" last="McCoy"] (2024, SF, UD Jesuit)

I feel like McCoy is still underrated by most and is performance this spring might be a good indicator. He’s a 2 way player that can score at all 3 levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="1373000" first="Camden" last="Fall Thompson"] (2025, SF, Whitehall)

With his combination of try hard mentality and overall skill set, I think he’s a sure thing at the next level. Thompson can score in a variety of ways and do it in bunches.

[player_tooltip player_id="1077679" first="Hutch" last="Ward"] (2023, PF, Kalamazoo Central)

I’m going to keep putting him in articles and keep talking about "The [player_tooltip player_id="1077679" first="Hutch" last="Ward"] Explosion" as long as he keeps playing like he is. Ward is a lights out shooter and has become an elite 2 handed finisher.

[player_tooltip player_id="1352949" first="Brayden" last="Wine"] (2023, F, Olivet)

Wine looked very solid at Rumble In The Rapids this spring and it’s easy to see why he is starting to collect some offers. He’s as tough as they come and can have an influence in the paint and on the perimeter.
