Thompson can turn the corner for his Whitehall team in so many facets of the game, from defensive stops, to hitting the glass, to putting points on the board by the bunches.

Where exactly do I start? I don’t focus much on stats, but I shudder to think what his might look like in this game. Thompson scored the ball in a variety of ways, from working through a triple team with his back to the basket to a bevy of put back buckets. But he also showed that the intangibles are as much a part of his game as the stats. Thompson was constantly looking up the floor in order to pass and pressure the defense. He was able to challenge cutters at the rim and even alter shots from behind the play. And his passing? First of all, they have that next level zip on them. Secondly, he’s a smart passer with the ability to draw the D and deliver the ball to open teammates.

You definitely need to be strapped in to watch Thompson play basketball. He’s like The Terminator of double-doubles. He’ll always be back. If there’s a play to be made in a game, Thompson can and will make it.

Thompson fits the Back To The Future theme perfectly. It’s similar to watching Larry Johnson dominate the glass and finish high percentage power looks at the rim. While Thompson reminds us of days past, he’s also the modern day player that can play and defend all over the floor.

Thompson’s stock has soared this high school season and deservedly so. He’s a multi sport star that is also a highly sought after football prospect. Thompson has put up simply ridiculous numbers this season. He’s grabbed so many rebounds that it feels like he hasn’t left any for anybody else.

I mean, have you seen the numbers the young man is putting up this season? Breakables at his family home are safe, because they way he rebounds, they’ll never hit the floor. Adding Thompson to a college roster will be a gift that can used in so many different ways.

Thompson has been a big time grassroots star for Hardwood Midwest 2025. His play has been rewarded with offers from the likes of Bowling Green, Stephen F. Austin and Oakland University. Thompson is an elite all around athlete and a tremendous finisher at the rim in traffic.

Thompson was a big time head turner playing with Hardwood Midwest at the PH Circuit’s Midwest Melee. He showed the offensive and defensive skills to play at the next level. Thompson scored in a variety of ways, often earning very good looks at the rim through his versatility and spacing. His weekend was probably highlighted by a 32 point game.
