While at the Pro16League Session 4 in Detroit, [program_tooltip program_id='2539820' first='The' last='Academy']'s 2031 group didn't just show up, they delivered. This is a well-constructed, high-upside squad that understands how to win without leaning on just one star. What makes them dangerous is their balance: multiple pieces, multiple skill sets, and multiple ways to beat you. Over the course of a full game, that kind of versatility wears opponents down. They defend, they share it, and they compete. Quietly, this group put together a strong weekend but make no mistake, there is real substance behind the results. Here is a deeper, high-energy breakdown of a few key standouts:

He showed his ability to be a reliable scoring option as he can score from all three levels. The energy and effort he brings to the floor help him make hustle plays and force opponents to compete at a high level on every possession. He is a two-way impacting talent on this team who makes plays that contribute to winning.

He has a budding PG IQ and a PG skill set that helps him to handle the responsibility of running the show. This past weekend, he shared lead guard responsibilities with Terry Holt, Jr., and he played just as well at the off-guard position. Make no mistake about it, he is at his best when he is on-ball and can run the show. His growth is one to keep a watch on as he prepares for life at the high school level in another year.

Jack impacts the game with his shooting ability. He scores well off the bounce, but his developing perimeter shooting is quickly becoming part of his game; that is a strength he can lean on, and that adds value to his team. He is listed as a combo guard, but he has to continue to improve his ability to orchestrate the offense from a PG perspective. Jack is learning the game, and as he continues to do so on both ends of the floor, he will have a chance to apply what he learns as he eyes life at the high school level in a year or two.

Victor is the man in the middle on this squad, and he is a force to deal with on the interior. He has size for his age and does a good job carving out space on offense and clogging the paint on defense. He has an early understanding of how to use his body to create space and score around the rim. He is a beast on the glass as he limits opponents to one shot on the defensive boards and gets put-backs on the offensive glass.
