William Whorton William Whorton 6'8" | PF Rufus King | 2023 State WI — SF — Wisconsin Playground
Whorton has so much potential. He has a lanky 6-foot-8 frame and plenty of athleticism to match his positional size. At one point in the first half, the small forward blocked a shot, ran the break, and threw a beautiful pass to an open teammate for a layup. If Whorton keeps improving and adding new elements to his game, the SF could become a really good player at the college level.
Alex Sherwood Alex Sherwood 6'4" | SF Xavier | 2023 State WI — SF — Wisconsin Crusaders
Man, Sherwood is having a really impressive spring. I thought that he was good last year for the Crusaders but this year he has taken his game to a new level. Sherwood is a 6-foot-7 small forward who can really shoot it. He has a pretty shot from deep and opposing squads must respect his ability to knock down the long ball. For his position, Sherwood is also a phenomenal passer.
Seth Miron Seth Miron 6'4" | SF Kimberly | 2023 State WI — SG — Wisconsin Crusaders
Miron provides a lot for his team on the offensive end. The shooting guard is a very dangerous catch and shoot shooter who will drill open threes if left open. Miron had a big junior season for Kimberly. If Friday night was any indication, he should be able to put up some big-time scoring numbers this winter.
Vincent Vandervest Vincent Vandervest 6'4" | SF Bay Port | 2023 State WI — SG — Team 1848
Even though he is listed as a guard, Vandervest’s game reminds me of a power forward. He does a lot of his work in the paint. The shooting guard is a big-time athlete who is capable of throwing down some super impressive dunks. Vandervest is also a really good rebounder. He uses his bounce to snag boards on both ends. I love what Vandervest is able to do when he slashes to the cup. He is able to use his combination of skill and size to convert on tough layups.
James Prescott — PG — Illinois Elite
Prescott is an uncommitted 2022 prospect who has made a big statement this spring. I thought that the point guard did some great things in Chicago a couple of weekends ago. He was back at it again on Friday night. The PG started the game off aggressive. In the opening minutes, Prescott got to the free throw line and went 5-5. Prescott is a shifty prospect who uses his speed and ball handling skills to get defenders off balance. Any college programs still looking for a 2022 guard should certainly take a look at Prescott.
Nic Williams Nic Williams 6'1" | PG La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI — PG — Playground Elite
I didn’t get the chance the see all of Playground Elite’s game on Friday night. However, in the little bit of game action that I did get the opportunity to watch, I was super impressed with Williams. The point guard has a very impressive overall game. He can pass well, shoot from deep, and finish at the rim. Williams has made a name for himself this spring.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI — SF — Wisconsin Playground Club
Clark wasted no time to get going on Friday night. He started the game out by attacking the rim for a layup. Just a few possessions later, the Small forward drove to the hoop and threw down a monster dunk. Overall, I really love Clark’s game. He has had a huge spring with Wisconsin Playground Club. His great play continued on Friday night.
