Held over two days(Saturday 5/7 and Sunday 5/8), the event featured a lot of up and coming talent. I was at the event both days and I focused on watching the 15U division. Here’s a look at some of the top bucket getters I saw.
1. Sir Livingston – IE Fire Select 2025
Livingston stood out as a player who flat out gets buckets. He’s a big forward with some guard skills. He has a little playmaking to his game; able to put the ball on the floor and see open teammates in the halfcourt. He does a good job faking the three and being able to get past the defense to the rim. Able to handle the ball on the break. He’s strong; uses good body control to bump off the defense and finish through contact. Consistent three-point shooter.
2. Jaizahn Lewis – IE Fire Select 2025
Lewis was a good wing scorer. He was able to consistently break down the defense off the dribble. Gets into the paint well and is able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line. He’s quick in transition; pushes the pace well. He’s able to do a little playmaking too; he has good vision in the halfcourt and he consistently made the right reads on the break. Able to shoot the three-ball well.
3. Michael Espinoza – Swoosh Elite 2025
Espinoza is built as a big forward who can move like a wing. He has a big frame; he’s strong and can finish through traffic muscling his way through the defense in the paint. He can handle the ball and he does well against defensive pressure. Able to go coast to coast after a rebound and finish. Good spot up shooter from three-point range; stretches floor in small-ball lineups. Moves well off ball making good cuts to the rim. Good rebounder who follows misses for offensive put-backs.
4. Malachi Henningham Malachi Henningham 6'5" | PF Fairfax | 2026 AZ – AZ Gremlins 1 2025
Henningham is a bit of a tweener forward. He looks like he’s working on using his size to get good post position. He makes strong, aggressive moves to the rim and extends well to finish. He can take advantage of his size against smaller defenders in the paint and he has some nice spin moves to get to the rim. Good pick and pop player with consistent shooting range. High upside.
