As it pertains to basketball, not everyone is 6’5 at guard or 6’10 at forward. You have plenty of great prospects that are considered “undersized”
Click on my first article as an example.
Let’s take a look at additional prospects in this category.
Brooklyn Vick – St. Andrew’s
Brooklyn Vick is a kid you need to be aware of. The 6-foot point guard averaged 14 points, 3.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game while shooting 41 percent from the floor. Vick also shot 32 percent from deep and 72 percent from the stripe. Vick has long arms and plays smooth off the drive. Furthermore, I like his motor and aggressiveness off the dribble. Vick’s transition game is strong and his athleticism continues to improve by the day.
Nelson Atilus – Dwyer
2023 Nelson Atilus was productive this season for Dwyer. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 7.3 points while shooting 45 percent from the field. Moreover, scored in double-figures ten games and was efficient in virtually all of them. Against North Miami, Atilus scored 15 points, dished out six assists and recorded five steals on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. On defense, he registered 47 steals. Atilus helped Dwyer to a 21-4 record.
Brayser Martinez – Forest Hill
A senior I will include here is Brayser Martinez. The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 13.1 points while shooting 52 percent from the floor. In addition, Martinez went 37-of-79 (47 percent) from deep. Against Dwyer, he scored 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. Martinez is tough and durable off the drive. He was a rock in Forest Hill’s backcourt and helped them win 20 games.
Ray-Ray Collum – Jupiter
2025 Ray-Ray Collum is a quick point guard for the Warriors. The 5-foot-6 prospect plays very well with the ball and is a good decision maker. Collum shows a similar level of presence on defense. His on-ball play and active movement/hands are valuable around the perimeter. Collum could be a watch as he gets bigger and develops his game.
Others to watch:
Rey Daniels Rey Daniels 6'0" | PG North Miami | 2024 FL – Daniels is a good shooter that could be a leader for North Miami. The Pioneers have a solid nucleus of players that could give Daniels options in the backcourt. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged eight points per game while shooting 48 percent from deep.
Jermaine Hunter Jermaine Hunter 5'10" | PG Jupiter Christian | 2023 FL – Hunter was a solid guard for Jupiter Christian. The 5-foot-10 prospect averaged 7.9 points, 3.6 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Moreover, he shot 36 percent from three and 77 percent from the line. His passing ability is one of his strengths. Hunter is also a strong student with a 3.7 GPA.
