Nolan Minessale Nolan Minessale 6'5" | SF Marquette | 2024 State WI — SF — Chapman Basketball Academy
Man, Minessale is a special athlete. The Champman Basketball Academy small forward stands at 6-foot-4 with long arms, so he already has great size. But his athletic ability just makes him so much more dangerous. If opposing players don’t want to be on the receiving end of a highlight-worthy dunk, then I suggest that they don’t jump with Minessale.
Michael McNabb Michael McNabb 6'4" | CG Grafton | 2024 State WI — SG — Chapman Basketball Academy
I thought that McNabb did some really good things a couple of weeks ago in Indianapolis. But on Friday night, the SG was playing on another level. He is a very dangerous slasher who can get to the cup and finish. Even when defended well, McNabb more often than not still finds a way to finish. Standing a 6-foot-4 with a strong build, McNabb is also a very good rebounder.
Jordan Caton — PG — Iowa Prep Red
Caton is a knock down shooter who converted on some big-time shots in an overtime win on Friday night for Iowa Prep. I thought that the point guard did an awesome job of making key plays on offense. He was able to score ten points, but most importantly, Caton took care of the ball. He is a strong ball handler with a lot of quickness. He used these skills to maintain possession against a pesky defense.
Fitz Freeman Fitz Freeman 6'6" | C Robbinsdale Armstrong | 2024 State MN — PF — MN Chill
There are not many 16U prospects that are going to be able to match Freeman physically. He has a very large frame, which he uses to dominate in the paint. I think that Freeman still has a lot of room to grown, but for now, he is able to rely on his physical gifts to find success on the court. On defense, Freeman is a outstanding shot blocker who is able to make opposing players think twice when they consider driving to the hoop.
Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI — SG — PM UA Rise
Because he plays for a smaller school during the winter, I don’t think that Schmitz gets the attention that he deserves. But after watching him play on Friday night, it is clear that the shooting guard is one of the more talented prospects in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. He is a tremendous shooter who defenders always have to keep an eye on. I think that Schmitz is set to continue his huge spring. Schmitz was able to pour in 27 points for his squad in a win.
Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN — PG — D1 Minnesota 3SSB
It is easy to see why Asuma is ranked as a top three prospect in Minnesota’s 2024 class. The D1 Minnesota guard is super talented. Asuma just has a great overall feel for the game. He knows when to hunt his own shot and when to pass to teammates. In a low scoring affair, Asuma was a huge reason why his D1 MN squad was able to walk away with the victory.
Damon Stacker — G — KC Spurs
I think that Stacker has a ton of potential. In a tough loss to a very good D1 Minnesota team in the nightcap on Friday night, Stacker was the catalyst for his squad. He was very impressive as a slasher and did a nice job when tasked with being a primary ball handler. Stacker is a very shifty guard that had defenders off balance all night long.
