Dylan McCann — Team: HLC 2027 Nike — Lakes High School (IL)
Notes: solid, decent-sized guard, moves very well off the ball, good shooter
Dylan has a good frame for a guard. He uses his size and strength to hold off defenders while dribbling. The combination of his elite shooting and movement make him an intriguing prospect.
Blaine Lasky — Team: HLC 2027 Nike — Lakes High School (IL)
Notes: junkyard dog, high motor, does all the little things, thanked the refs, great communicator, relentless movement on offense
Out of all the games I watched today, Blaine played the hardest on both ends. Between tracking down loose balls and cutting to set up himself and his teammates, he continually made winning plays and showed off his high motor. He also does the little things right, like boxing out his man and running the floor hard, every time.
Mason Woltz Mason Woltz 6'2" | SF Cedar Falls | 2027 State IA — Team: Team Iowa 2027 Elite — Cedar Falls HS (Iowa)
Notes: 6’2, long arms, fluid, solid defender, good shooter who is also willing to pass, winning player
Mason is a fluid, natural basketball player. His 6’2 with long arms build enables him to get to his spots on offense along with guard bigger guys on defense. I was most impressed with his shot selection, if he didn’t have an open look, Mason made easy reads instead of forcing. Over and over again, Mason was making winning plays on both ends.
Ayden Moersfelder Ayden Moersfelder 6'0" | PG Cedar Falls | 2027 IA — Team: Team Iowa 2027 Elite — Cedar Falls HS (Iowa)
Notes: Quick and strong, pesky on-ball defender, high IQ player, great passer with the ability to shoot, strong finisher, great communicator
Ayden is a true all-around player, a speedy guard who competes on both ends. Offensively, he is a great passer and mover off the ball with the ability to hit an open jumper. On defense, his quickness and footwork allows him to be able to stay in front of anyone. I was most impressed by his overall basketball IQ, things like cutting off the ball and being a great communicator on the floor.
