Ten 16U prospects that you need to know heading into the weekend:

[player_tooltip player_id="1203205" first="Nolan" last="Minessale"] -- Chapman Basketball Academy -- SF

Minessale was one of the biggest stock risers from April. I am looking for him to continue his momentum into May. The small forward is an athletic prospect that is able to make some exciting plays at the rim. Playing for an underrated Chapman squad, keep an eye out for Minessale.

[player_tooltip player_id="1287439" first="Max" last="Woods"] -- Minnesota Fury -- PG

Woods is a super skilled point guard that has made a name for himself on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He is a phenomenal scorer who is able to carry his team for long stretches of a game. In the past, I have liked watching Woods play. But now, he has become one of my favorite prospects to watch in the Hard Work Region.

Alex Loomis -- Gallo Sports Center -- SF

Loomis is a skilled 6-foot-5 small forward that can really score. He is a good ball handler, meaning he is able to put the ball on the deck and score with no issue. Loomis also has shown an ability to step outside and drain threes. He is a player to know going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="1288908" first="Gage" last="Kampman"] -- Iowa Barnstormers -- PF

Kampman isn’t going to ever be the top scoring prospect on a loaded Iowa Barnstormers squad. But make no mistake, he is an integral part of his team. He blocks shots, rebounds, finishes around the rim, and does all of the dirty work. Overall, I really love what Kampman brings to the table.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297886" first="Fitz" last="Freeman"] -- MN Chill Elite -- PF

Freeman is a physical force on the court. Standing at 6-foot-6 with a solid build, the power forward is able to impose his will around the hoop. He can rebound well and showed some promise as a finisher around the rim.

Dalton Spindler -- Northern Lakers -- SG

Spindler is coming off a monster weekend in Appleton where he earned first-team all-tournament honors. He really impressed with his ability to score in a multitude of ways. The shooting guard should be prepared to impress in Minneapolis at Battle At The Lakes.

[player_tooltip player_id="1265221" first="JT" last="Rock"] -- SD Attack -- C

Already holding several offers, Rock has been a prospect making noise on the national scene. Standing at 7-foot, the SD Attack center uses his size to dominate on the court. He is a mobile big man that is able to score really well. He does have some developing to do, but Rock is going to be a scary player when he reaches his true potential.

Ty Pflughaupt -- Iowa Prep -- SF

Pflughaupt is a sleeper in Iowa’s 2024 class. In early April, the small forward did a really great job of using all of his skills to get buckets. Pflughaupt used his frame to finish tough layups in the paint and to shoot over smaller defenders on the perimeter. Playing for Iowa Prep, look for the SF to have a big weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="1288866" first="Dezmund" last="Jackson"] -- Iowa Mavs -- SG

Jackson is a very skilled scorer who can fill it up in very unique ways. In April, the shooting guard earned his points from the FT line, off of offensive rebounds, and from contested jumpers. The SG just knows how to put the ball in the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id="1193234" first="Will" last="Hornseth"] -- Wisconsin Blizzard -- PF

One of the top post prospects in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, Hornseth is in the midst of a monster spring. The power forward passes well, scores in the paint, and has shown an ability to drain outside shots. Hornseth has already earned some college interest. If he continues to play well, offers should start to pile up.
