Gerdes was nearly perfect against the Hawks, scoring 24 points on 11-12 shooting to go with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. The Northern Iowa commit has only continued to improve, becoming stronger in his upper body, allowing him to power through contact on the block. He has also become more decisive on his post touches, making quick decisions when he touches it, using his elite footwork and soft touch to score with either hand at the rim. He displayed impressive vision out of the post, finding open shooters on the opposite wings for shots. A long, switchable defender, he protects the paint at a high level.

When he gets it rolling like he did in the third quarter, few players in the state are as fun to watch as Kimbrough. He put on a shotmaking clinic against the Hawks, scoring from the arc, mid-range, and getting to the rim against overly aggressive closeouts. He has a pure, quick release on his shot, unlimited range, and he moves well without the ball in his hands. He's one of the best contested shotmakers in the state, with his high release and elevation on his shot making it difficult for opposing players to block his shot. He had 22 points (13 in the third quarter) on 10-19 shooting (2-8 3P), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in the win.

Wolf has great size and is a big, versatile defender who gives the Tigers all sorts of flexibility on that end of the floor. He moves his feet well, has great length, and is fantastic at contesting shots both on the perimeter and around the rim. On the offensive end, he was superb playing the high-low game with Gerdes, routinely hitting him on the block for easy buckets. He had just 2 points, but finished with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and made a massive impact on the game. He's a high upside player whose best basketball is still ahead of him.

Berns has been a really nice addition to the Tigers lineup, giving them a reliable playmaker, ball-handler, and tough defender on the perimeter. A lead guard with good size at 6-2, he sees the floor really well and has fit perfectly with a Cedar Falls team that moves the ball exceptionally well. He plays the game the right way. He had 10 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals.

Not much went right for the Hawks on Tuesday night, but Larson had some impressive flashes as an interior scorer, floor spacer, and rebounder. At 6-8, he has solid size, length, and mobility, great hands, and good footwork. He can step out and space the floor from the 3-point line, score on post touches, or operate out of the high post as a passer. He finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in the loss.
