Included in our Prep Hoops rankings are several prospects that I believe are due for a big senior year and have the potential to rise in the rankings. The current rankings can be viewed here.
Anthony Robinson Anthony Robinson 6'3" | PG Florida State University Hig | 2023 State #133 Nation FL , 6’2″, PG – Robinson is 100% due for a stellar senior season at FSUS. The guard is long and athletic with a high IQ that often leads to easy steals. Robinson is always in the right spot on defense and is a nightmare for opposing guards on offense as well. He currently sits at #11 on our rankings, but I would not be surprised if he jumped up 3-4 spots. He already holds several D1 offers and should rack up more this offseason and next year.
Tristan Gross Tristan Gross 6'4" | CG St. Pete | 2023 State #194 Nation FL , 6’4″, CG – Gross is a really good defensive guard. He knows his role and executes it perfectly. Gross helped lead St. Pete to the state tournament this year and will look to do the same next year. He is currently playing for the FL Rebels, which will definitely help is development this summer leading in to next year. He is a bigger guard that has a crafty layup package with sound dribble moves. Keep an eye on Tristin, he just may end up at a high major. Gross is at #20 in our rankings, but I could see him flirting with the top ten by the end of next season.
Eduardo Placer Eduardo Placer 6'1" | CG Windermere Prep | 2023 State FL , 6’5″, CG – Eddie is a very talented combo guard. He uses his length to create easy shots around the rim. He can take anyone off the dribble and has the athleticism to either finish at the rim, stop on a dime for a jumper, or hit a step-back three. He is a very smooth lefty and should post big numbers for a really good Windermere Prep team this next year. He currently sits at #25.
Michael Swift Michael Swift 5'11" | PG Andrew Jackson | 2023 State FL , 6’3″, CG – Swift is my choice for the top mover in this class. Sitting at #63 in our rankings, I truly expect him to finish top 25 next year. He is incredibly talented and can finish very difficult shots, even with bigs looming over him in the paint. He led his team to the state championship and provided lock down defense this year. Swift possesses the innate talent of making big shots under pressure, which is a trait that cannot really be taught. He really impressed me with his utilization of off ball cutting to get open. Swift has a high motor and is a workhorse. Look for him to rise in the rankings.
