<p>What does the Minnesota All State Team look like in the older way of position by position like the way the NBA honors their all state? We dive in with that now. </p>
<p>FAQ: What is the traditional way? Instead of honoring the five best seasons, the traditional way spreads it out to two guards, two traditional forwards, and a big. And in this way the players that don’t have the ball in their hands as much get a bit more of a boost. Here is our Minnesota All State Team in the NBA/Traditional past way.</p>

<p><strong>First Team All State</strong></p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="850710" first="Braeden" last="Carrington"] of Park Center (sr). The Mr. Basketball award winner. Breakdown Player of the Year. NHR Player of the Year. Class AAAA Player of the Yaer. Top player on the Class AAAA state champs who went 31-1. Averaged 18 points and 5 assists a game. Signed with Minnesota. </p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="754315" first="Eli" last="King"] of Caledonia (sr). The McDonald Award Winner for Player of the Year and Class AA Player of the Year. King led his team to third place in state and second in the final rankings with a 29-2 record. Eli averaged 19.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.3 steals per game. Signed with Iowa State. </p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="850708" first="Kendall" last="Blue"] of East Ridge (sr). Mr. Basketball Top Ten. Class AAAA First Team All State. Averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists a game for the 23-6 Raptors. Blue signed with UST. </p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="850702" first="Prince" last="Aligbe"] of Minnehaha Academy (sr). Mr. Basketball Final Five. Prince averaged 29.4 points and 10 rebounds a game for the 19-11 Redhawks who finished as the Class AA Consolation champions. Aligbe has signed with Boston College. </p>
<p>Big: [player_tooltip player_id="958715" first="Pharrel" last="Payne"] of Park of Cottage Grove (sr). Mr. Basketball Top Ten. Payne missed the first nine games of the year but then averaged 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks for the 20-win Wolfpack. Signed with Minnesota. </p>

<p><strong>Second Team All State</strong></p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="962198" first="Taison" last="Chatman"] of Totino-Grace (jr). Chatman was the Class AAA Player of the Year leading the Eagles to the Class AAA state championship with a 26-6 record. Averaged 16 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists over the 32 games for the state’s most balanced team. </p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="850701" first="Tre" last="Holloman"] of Cretin-Derham Hall (sr). The Gatorade Player of the Year and Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year. Once again took a new rotation around him to the final four in Class AAAA basketball. Averaged 19 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds a game. Signed with Michigan State.</p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="958638" first="Demarion" last="Watson"] of Totino-Grace (sr). Mr Basketball Top Ten. Averaged 13 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. Defensive Player of the Year. Signed with Iowa State. </p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="850728" first="Nick" last="Katona"] of Shakopee (sr). Class AAAA Second Team All State. Averaged 14 points a game for 25-4 Shako that finished ranked 3rd in AAAA. Signed with UMD.</p>
<p>Big: [player_tooltip player_id="850706" first="Jackson" last="Loge"] of Morris Area (sr). Mr. Basketball Top Ten. Class AA First Team All State. Averaged 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game for the 28-4 Tigers. Led his team to a 4th place finish in Class AA. Signed with Augustana.</p>

<p><strong>Third Team All State</strong></p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="958636" first="Alonzo" last="Dodd"] of South St. Paul (sr). Mr. Basketball Final Five. Dodd led the Packers to a 28-1 record and a fourth place final ranking. Dodd averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and four steals a contest. The best unsigned player in the state of Minnesota right now. </p>
<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"] of DeLaSalle (jr). Class AAA First Team All State. Scored 23 points per game for the Class AAA runner-up. </p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="850715" first="BJ" last="Omot"] of Mankato East (sr). Class AAA First Team All State. Scored 22.5 points a game for the Class AAA third place finisher at state. Signed with North Dakota. </p>
<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="962214" first="Nolan" last="Winter"] of Lakeville North (jr). First Team Junior All State. Averaged 18 points and just under ten boards a game for the Panthers. </p>
<p>Big: [player_tooltip player_id="850713" first="Carter" last="Bjerke"] of Wayzata (sr). Mr. Basketball Top Ten. Class AAAA First Team All State. Averaged 17 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the 27-5 Trojans who finished second in Class AAAA. Bjerke signed with UST</p>
