<h5>The state playoffs are approaching as we take a look at some early favorites to win it all with some 1A East favorites.</h5>

<h5>Chatham Charter (24-1)</h5>
<p>2023s [player_tooltip player_id="1257290" first="Adam" last="Harvey"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1360334" first="Aamir" last="Mapp"] have continued to pace the Knights as they remain unbeaten in conference play at 9-0. Harvey is posting 15.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.4 apg and 3.0 spg as their leading name and Mapp is right behind him with 11.7 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.6 spg. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id="1225618" first="Beau" last="Harvey"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1225619" first="Brennen" last="Oldham"] have been solid additions as well as they look to come out of the 1A East.</p>
<h5>Wilson Prep (16-5) </h5>
<p>Last year’s 1A State Champions are locked and loaded in 2021-22 with [player_tooltip player_id="577831" first="Christen" last="Battle"], [player_tooltip player_id="1104960" first="Brandon" last="Anderson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1076358" first="Daidien" last="Sutton"] leading the way. Battle and Anderson are the backcourt’s leading playmakers at 4.2 apg and 4.0 apg, respectively. Battle leads the scoring with 20.4 ppg. Sutton is their second-leading rebounder at 7.4 rpg while David Ellis is their leading rebounder at 8.9 rpg.</p>
<h5>North Edgecombe (16-3)</h5>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="932137" first="Amarion" last="McCrae"] has been a name we’ve mentioned before with North Edgecombe and he’s just one name to know. 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1383800" first="Eric" last="Lyons"] and 2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1383801" first="Dontrevious" last="Whitaker"] are two other prospects to know with this group. Lyons is putting up 13.7 ppg, 9.6 rpg and 1.9 apg as a presence in the paint and slasher that can get to the rim. Whitaker is a 6-foot-3 prospect posting 9.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 1.2 bpg. The Warriors will be a group to watch out of the 1A East.</p>
<h5>Washington County (14-3)</h5>
<p>Leshaun Jackson is a rising junior prospect name to know with this group. He’s averaging 17.5 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 4.2 apg and 4.0 spg as a leader for the Panthers. [player_tooltip player_id="1382676" first="Ke’Vontae" last="Lucas"] is a member of the 2024 class that’s putting up solid production as well. He’s at 15.2 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 3.2 apg, 2.1 spg and 1.5 bpg as an athletic presence in the paint. Amari Chesson and Michaiah Smith are two other names to look out for as this group has gone unbeaten in conference play at </p>
<h5>East Wake Academy (12-5)</h5>
<p>East Wake has a senior trio of [player_tooltip player_id="1342385" first="Charlie" last="Whitley"], Tanner Pate and Bryant Pearce looking to go out with a bang in their final year. Whitley has produced 17.3 ppg, 8.6 rpg and 1.1 bpg, Pate is at 10.8 ppg and 4.9 rpg and Pearce is at 10.7 ppg and 2.3 apg. The Eagles have some room to work after going 6-1 in conference action and riding a 6-game winning streak.</p>
