<p>This evening marks the beginning of the Indianapolis City Tournament. Cathedral earned the #1 seed and will get a first round bye while the other 14 teams face-off tonight in the opening round. Elsewhere around the state, there are a couple of big matchups in northern Indiana, an intriguing contest in Fort Wayne, and a couple of greater Indianapolis area games outside of the "city." Let’s take a look at five games you will want to follow tonight.</p>
<h2>Ben Davis @ Decatur Central</h2>
<p>These westside rivals will go at it this evening as they try to get back on track after Marion County Tournament losses. Ben Davis made it to the final before falling to North Central by one point while Decatur Central was knocked out by Southport in the quarterfinals. Javon Tracy gives the Hawks plenty of firepower with his 20.2 points per game, but the depth of the Giants backcourt will likely be the difference in this one. [player_tooltip player_id="1158204" first="K.J." last="Windham"], [player_tooltip player_id="1273713" first="Sheridan" last="Sharp"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1160716" first="Clay" last="Butler"] all are good playmakers for Ben Davis.</p>
<h2>Columbia City @ Homestead</h2>
<p>Columbia City will travel to Sectional 6 foe Homestead this evening to take on [player_tooltip player_id="1063961" first="Fletcher" last="Loyer"] and the Spartans. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1393184" first="Andrew" last="Hedrick"] is having an excellent season for the Eagles to lead them to a 9-3 record. [player_tooltip player_id="1063976" first="Mason" last="Baker"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1269910" first="Jaxon" last="Crawford"] provide some size and strength on the wings as well. However, only one team has [player_tooltip player_id="1063961" first="Fletcher" last="Loyer"]. The future Purdue Boilermaker is averaging 27.1 points per game and remains a front runner for the Mr. Basketball award.</p>
<h2>Mishawaka Marian @ Culver Academy</h2>
<p>Two of the better Class 3A teams in the state will go at it tonight as 10-2 Marian travels to 7-2 Culver Academy. [player_tooltip player_id="769703" first="Richard" last="Brooks"] versus [player_tooltip player_id="868239" first="Cooper" last="Farrall"] will be the matchup to watch in this one. Brooks is averaging 15.1 points per game for the Knights while Farrall is putting together an Indiana Junior All-Star caliber season for Culver Academy. [player_tooltip player_id="1049162" first="Deaglan" last="Sullivan"] is another one to watch as he leads Marian in scoring at 16.8 points per game.</p>
<h2>South Bend St. Joseph @ NorthWood</h2>
<p>This is another high-profile Class 3A matchup in northern Indiana this evening. Freshman wing [player_tooltip player_id="1297002" first="Chase" last="Konieczny"] leads the Indians at over 20 points per game with senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="769712" first="Cole" last="Hatkevich"] not far behind at 17.8. Those two can really fill it up in a hurry. NorthWood is up to #2 this week in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class Rankings at 13-1 on the season. High-scoring junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1226596" first="Cade" last="Brenner"] is the one to watch for the Panthers along with 6’5" junior forward [player_tooltip player_id="1391324" first="Ian" last="Raasch"].</p>
<h2>Mount Vernon (Fortville) @ Lawrence Central</h2>
<p>Class 4A #10 Mount Vernon will take on the Bears of Lawrence Central tonight. LC is just 5-7 on the season but have a couple of impressive wins on their home floor. D’John Craig, a junior guard scored 15.4 points a game for the Bears while fellow juniors [player_tooltip player_id="1379216" first="Kamari" last="Jones"] and [player_tooltip player_id="868233" first="Joshua" last="Mickens"] add 13.6 and 12.9 points respectively. For Mount Vernon it is all about [player_tooltip player_id="870268" first="Armon" last="Jarrard"] and [player_tooltip player_id="870220" first="Amhad" last="Jarrard"] avreaging 15.7 and 15.5 points per game. </p>
