These student athletes have been getting it done at a high level and I have no doubt will continue to help lead their respective schools to ongoing success as the season continues:
2022 Damon Leigh – Morningside Academy – DJ is getting a ton of interest from college coaches and it is no surprise due to his monstrous senior season currently taking place. DJ is currently the #6 overall leading scorer in Florida regardless of class/district averaging 25 ppg, 7 assists and 9 rebounds and leading Morningside to its best start in school history at 9-0. DJ plays with a nonstop motor and a ton of passion which translates to his overall game finding easy buckets at the rim while having a consistent outside game. DJ has good speed and strength and can also defend at a high level. I am excited to see how the rest of the season will play out for DJ and this newly formed team at Morningside and if the early season success is any indication it will sure be a fun ride.
2024 Christian Maxon Christian Maxon 6'2" | CG Fort Pierce Central | 2025 State FL – Fort Pierce Central High School – Christian is currently Top 3 in the state of Florida for freshmen in scoring averaging 19 ppg and shooting a solid 49% from beyond the arc. This sharpshooting sniper has been lighting it up across the Treasure Coast leading his team to a 5-2 record thus far. Christian uses his body well to get by defenders and does a great job coming off screens ready to catch and shoot. This is one of the best freshman we have seen in some time putting up these kind of numbers and he will be a player to keep an eye on as his game continues to evolve. Christian is one of the hardest workers I know and all of that gym time is certainly paying off.
2024 Elijah Duval Elijah Duval 6'2" | SG Martin County | 2024 #118 Nation FL – Martin County High School – Elijah has quickly become the talk of the town in a short amount of time. He is currently averaging 18 points per game and has led his team most recently to a huge win over Lake Worth. Elijah and the Martin County Tigers are currently 6-0 and will be facing some high level opponents over the holiday season. Elijah is one of the best finishers at the rim that I have seen play and is always in attack mode. He plays with great energy and intensity and is clutch when called upon to deliver a big basket. Elijah already has Division 1 interest and has a real good shot at playing for a Mid/High major program. Expect to continue to hear a lot more about this gifted student athlete.
2023 Ty Owens – St Lucie West Centennial High School – Ty has been getting done on both ends of the court during his junior season leading the team in scoring at 17 points per game while shooting 46% on three pointers. Ty is a gifted athlete who can score at will and finds ways to create off the ball. Centennial is currently 9-1 and is one of the top teams in the area thus far. Look for Ty to continue his breakout season coming to a gym near you.
