Samuel Martin Samuel Martin 6'9" | C Apex | 2023 State NC | 6’8 | Apex High
Martin is off to another strong start in the Apex High frontcourt with 13.2 ppg, 8.6 rpg and 4.4 bpg through their first six games of the season. He’s a mobile threat that’s finding his way a lot more inside and out for the Cougars as they’re 3-4 on the young season with some close losses. Look for them to turn things around with Martin leading the charge as the rim protector. HM DII schools should take a look at him.
Joseph Bachman Joseph Bachman 6'8" | PF Greensboro Day | 2023 State NC | 6’9 | Laney High
Bachman continues to impress as a relentless presence around the paint/rim area for Laney High. He’s averaging a double-double with 12.8 ppg and 12.0 rpg through their early 5-0 start to the 2021-22 season. He’s a presence on the offensive/defensive glass that can find his offense without needing to post up. He’s another prospect HM DII schools should take a look at.
James Scott James Scott 6'9" | PF EE Smith | 2023 State NC | 6’9 | Seventy-First
Scott is one name in the frontcourt to know at Seventy-First High. He’s a versatile forward that’s coming into his own in 2021-22 producing 17.5 ppg, 13.8 rpg and 3.2 bpg after averaging less than 2 points and 3 rebounds per contest in 2020-21. He’s been quite the breakout name to know in the 2023 class that’s on a tear rebounding, protecting the rim and scoring the ball. LM/MM schools on the DI and DII levels should take a look.
Jared Davis Jared Davis 6'5" | PF Seventy-First | 2023 State NC | 6’8 | Seventy-First
Davis is another name to know in the Seventy-First frontcourt that’s relentless getting to his spots in the paint and finishing through contact. He’s producing 12.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg in the rotation for the Falcons as they’re off to a 5-1 start to the season. He’s a name that DII and DIII schools should get their eyes on.
Max Frazier | 6’8 | Northwood
Frazier is another emerging name to know in the Northwood High frontcourt. He’s producing 9.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 2.2 bpg as he shows his development from the grassroots season with the Durham Hurricanes . He’s a long, wiry prospect that’s just scratching the surface of what he can do. Colleges of all levels would be wise to get eyes on him.
